Have you ever wondered why Americans move to the UK? Or perhaps you want to know where they choose to live once they get here.
It's not secret that the UK is a great destination for US tech moguls, film production crews, real estate investors and anyone who wants a top notch education. A lot of Americans come over here to invest in both business and real estate but quite a few come over for the lifestyle or to have a second home in one of the coveted areas like the Cotswolds.
So the answer to the question why would Americans move to England or the UK is business and lifestyle. But where do US born citizens choose to live once they get here?
Well it's no surprise that London is one of the top preferred destinations for Americans relocating to the UK. But let's find out where the majority of Americans live in the UK and why they move here.

Brits don't mind Americans moving to the UK as they appreciate our culture and the depth of our history.

There is the adder, Britain's only venomous snake! But you will almost never see it in your garden.

There are wild big cats and wild boars in the UK (though neither to date have caused any fatal attacks on people).

You have to go to some pretty remote locations these days to find Grizzly or Polar bears, which can kill you. Or gators, which are only in Florida. There are more black bears in rural area, but they are smaller and less aggressive and won't hurt you unless you are stupid enough to try and feed them. There are some rattlesnakes and cotton mouths around, but generally not in cities. This is a story from West Virginia. A guy saw hi drug dealer to whom he owed money, which he did not have, The man spotted him and said "Hey, I'm a born again Christian now. I don't do or sell drugs anymore. And I'll forgive you the dept if you got to church with me. This seemed like a good deal. So he got into the man's truck and rode to the church. Things were fin for a while. There was a lively church service with the preacher shouting, music playing, and children and adults in cheap suits dancing in the Isles. Then. Somebody took out a sack, reached into it, and started pulling out live rattlesnakes and throwing them into the congregation. People were praying and catching the snakes, and then throwing them to the next person. The guy got up, and waked toward the door. He whispered to his former drug dealer, and he passed him, "I'm leaving now. Don't worry. I'll get you the money." So if you are going to visit or move to the US ,you might want to try and avoid churches like that if you don't like rattlesnakes.

Unfortunately, the exchange rate varies constantly... and when we bought out flat and had to bring our money over to England the exchange rate was NOT as favourable as it is now. But nothing happens quickly when it comes to British real estate! It took us a year to finally get a place, so it's difficult to time things precisely. And even MORE difficult to predict the future!!!

Healthcare costs... My husband just found out that his "free" colonoscopy in Texas was going to cost more than $3,000. Time to get that colonoscopy in England!

@@HipOverFifty But I'told that the national health system is failing now, and it is impossible to get appointments when you need them. Am I wrong?
@HipOverFifty
@HipOverFifty 2 ай бұрын
@@milascave2 I'm not sure if we should blame the media or the NHS for this perception! Yes I think there are long wait times in some areas for appointments of all kinds, however it varies by location. I've not had any trouble getting routine appts.

In the Uk l had mine for free. The NHS is in need of vast improvement but l am glad l have no expense to pay for medical bills. I recently had a ultra sound done for free aswell.

@@HipOverFiftyl think the NHS has been woefully under funded by the Tory government. It retained staff better and was much better under the last labour government. Expect vast improvement under the next labour government to come. Available to the rich and poor that is what l call health equality.

I do like your videos - so interesting from a UK perspective - but it does strike me that generally you're presenting them in full sunlight as here, while harping on about employing an umbrella and wellies. We're no wetter than anywhere else in the northern hemisphere. Never mind, keep up the good work. Robert, uk.

I wouldn't mind living in the UK, but all these videos make me feel like it's only for celebs or the very wealthy and elite. I'm just a regular guy that makes $30k/year. I really dislike the political climate here in the US. It's pretty much a cultist circus here.

Most Maga people I have meet while traveling in the US are just ordinary Joes that want a fair shake. The real problem in the USA and at home are the Alt Left crazies,probably you are one of them. There is no right wing Nazis in the UK. Its just left wing rhetoric to wind the very young and impressionist youth up. Most I talk to don't really know what they are talking about,just regurtitate things they have been force fed by College teachers and Social Media. One told me she got her News from instagam and Twitter. Sheesh!!!

For free NHS that is something completely abstract for Americans. At the same time offering the most dangerously incompetent and arrogant in their role doctors you can only think of.
