The average for other auto makers is nearly 80 days of inventory. Tesla has cars for 1/4 as much time as other auto makers and you can see that publicly available in SEC filings and Earnings reports.

Honestly, they are most likely correct. Last year I waited for my car for 6 weeks and dealership showed no inventory on the web site but they had similar parking lot with like 100-200 cars that was waiting for people to pick them up. They said that they "deliver" like 50 cars every day and its done in certain hours that you have to schedule ahead of time. They do prep work before delivery and that might be a time constrain. On Monday they told me that my car arrived and ready but I scheduled delivery on Saturday to avoid taking day off from work. So my car was there for the whole week, I assume many cases like this. Parking lot in front of the dealership was reserved for visitors, service and delivery purposes, not for storage.

Well you gotta understand, Tesla is a technology company, not a car company. They use their own tech to produce their very own car products that are mostly made from their own material, but they're not an actual car manufacture like Ford and Chevy is. That being said, Tesla owns their own retail stores which is why some states won't allow them to operate there because the company doesn't go by the franchise laws like standard dealerships do. My guess is this is also their way to cut costs, and to also make the buying process run more smoothly since most of the process is conducted online through a mobile app. The only time you would need to go to a Tesla Center, is if everything is already finalized and a delivery date is set for you to go pick up your car.

Oh right! Because the man who defied all odds and was able to figure out how to make rockets land just didn’t think about that. Lol

NMC Tesla's are 11x less likely to catch fire than gas cars. LFP Tesla's are 80x less likely than gas cars. But what do I know, I'm just using insurance data collected by IIHS. Insurance companies want you to buy a car that they will be forced to pay for. Right? Pretty sure they only make money if you pay and nothing goes wrong.
@rowrowfightthepower9Ай бұрын
They're literally trashed lol. No chance anyone is picking these up to buy. I just walked by the parking lot and noticed many had cracked windshields, scratches, dings/dents, faded hoods, faded tops, faded seats, dusty and stained interiors, broken headlights, broken mirrors, the list goes on. and yes, most are already rusting.

From what I learned in Hollywood movies … when there is cars abandoned collecting dust … there is people getting captured and killed or worse , forced labor .

When I was working in Austin at Tesla gigafactory I didnt see how we were getting the model 3 and y out the door. We were struggling hard daily with quality having to pull 50 cars+ both shifts off the line, let alone start production on the cybertruck.

It’s how they build up demand. If they had them on the sales lot it would show inventory

Tesla couldn't care less about delivering to its dedicated customers when they're just farming money off its customers who paid for their vehicles and will probably have to pay even more when they find the quality of their car down the pipe.

Just go to any mall in the Bay Area. Those parking lots are filled with Teslas too.

Tesla has no dealerships. Some of these cars or most would be for customers from out of state when they get time they would pick it up trsla only make vehicles after a customer make the down payment

Like an aircraft boneyard. The only difference is that an aircraft is flown for 20 to 30 years, while a Tesla is driven for only minutes: start, load, start, unload, park, done.

Not sure why this is news… It’s pretty obvious they’re renting the space for new cars. I’ve never worked at a dealership but this is pretty common in most major cities.

Pretty much Tesla sold so much that owners could not pick them up fast enough. Exact opposite of what many thinks.

The narrative: Everyone is going electric! Don't miss out! Buy one now! Reality: I bought one. Gonna just let it rot in a lot for few months. No rush to go get it.

People are picking them up its just every time someone picks up more, come in the lot, tesla only build a car after its been paid for, and most of this is people from out of state have to pickup tesla not allowed to sell in some states

6 years of EV only and I remember people saying Tesla was going bankrupt and there was no place to charge. Since then Tesla delivers 10x as many vehicles and earned more money than GM and Ford combined. The best selling car in the world is the Model Y for a reason.
