LVN’s are in major hospitals right now due to Covid getting the utmost respect and making tons of money because RN’s are quitting. We are all doing our part and some LVN’s feel this way because some people in the medical field ASSume we know nothing. Carry On.

Yet in some hospitals you aren’t even doing your own assessments. You’re pushing meds while am Rn does your notes, evaluates your patients and gives your Iv push drugs. Basically doing all the nurse legwork

@@melloyello7349 The only reason LVN ‘s are in hospitals right now is because so many RN’s are walking off the job for better pay, illness or to take care of their families who are ill. But it’s happening. And we are all putting in the effort to care for those in need regardless of how you feel about LVN’s.

How do you expect to feel like real nurse when you only got 9-12 months training?

Yup, some nurses go for 7 years if they want to be a nurse practitioner or a nurse that does anesthesia. I imagine they dont enjoy being considered on par with someone who went to votech for 9 months. My gf is a PA, which is more or less the same thing as an NP, altho neither would like to admit it. But I was in grad school too and working full time. But nonetheless, as tough as mine was, it was nothing compared to hers. She would get up at 5:30. Id drop her off the the university hospital around 7. Id pick her up when I got off work. Then shed go home, study till 9 or 10. Unless I had class that night, then shed study in the student union from 5-9:45. And it was like that for almost 2 years, until she got to the part of going on rotations:

12 months plus preqs the same preqs for an RN program. A&PI and II, Microbiology , Psychology, English, Statistics, Sociology, and many more. Only my ass we Take the same TEAs entrance exam and an NCLEX exam to gain a license. The scope of practice is different but no less respectable. They are “Real Nurses “ Hence the name Licensed Practical NURSE. At my school the LPN program is year one of the RN program then you can bridge over. We only need 3 more semesters for RN. During that time I can work and support myself and family.
