@@pthespidey5057no it doesn’t, I work at a tech repair shop and the ps5 consists off a xlay scanner which reads the disc and the other transfers is, it’s done the same way both sides so either way you put it it doesn’t damage the disc.

You would think Sony would have a gyroscope sensor built into the console to tell you the console wasn't in correct orientation! I don't have a PS5 currently, but when I do, I prefer the vertical orientation because I think it looks stupid in the horizontal position!

Upside down I had that problem too Its just that the ps 5 wasn’t planned as much as the ps4 and hence they said that the disc is upside down even when it’s straight So try the other way and it will work Pls pin me if it works.

On another note Nier automata on ps5 has consistent game crashes once you reach a certain point in the game. SE / platinum games have not mentioned any type fix for to this day.

It’s a great console, but I got a PS5 in the end because I already had a PC with the SX controller and PS still offers me some great exclusives, and this way I saved more in games, because I had a lot of PS4 ones. Enjoy your monster console.

I got an old beat up PS3, sliding door top load primarily to play Football 2K8, it stopped playing Assasins Creed Black Flag, my favorite game and it won't play Grand Theft Auto 5. Other than that it plays almost all the games for PS3

By the way, try putting your ps4 disc downward towards the reading drive as the ps5 reading drive is different from the ps4 which in the ps4 you can(technically) insert ps4 discs both ways on the same type of Playstation but in the ps4 reading drive, ps4 games however can be read no matter what

Most welcome ! Additional advice is to never run the ps5 upside down if not the machine will overheat and die ! So if they are asking u to flip the disc? Flip the ps5 instead :)

I've seen vids like this waaaay before i got my PS5. So I never ran into this problem. Even the Xbox Series X has the same orientation for disc insertion. Either put the disc in with your left hand or right hand with the disc flipped. So that the bottom is facing your wrist.

Some PS4 games have trouble ruining on PS5 like Heavy Rain as it plays on Super slow frame rate mode. It's works sometimes but I'm thinking it's running slow because the hard drive is almost full so I need to clear some space to get the frame rate normal hopefully.

Do people not immediately flip discs once they don’t read on one side? I kept getting I wrong but I eventually just remember what side faces up for my ps5’s orientation

You’re putting in your disks upside down, but for a odd reason my disks aren’t dirty I’m not putting them upside down and they’re still not reading

If you need to turn your discs upside down it means your ps5 is upside down! You need to flip your ps5 over if not it will overheat and die if you keep it running that!

Another KZfaqr mentioned the same thing, but the disc inserted in the wrong position. Nice short. 👏 And I'll be a bit blunt here, people really need to learn how to position the console correctly AND the disc. A manual was in the box for a good reason, same as the Sony website. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Same thing happened to me,after 6 years my ps4 gave out,so instead of buying another ps4 I decided to buy a ps5,and I wasn’t able to play ANY of the physical neither the digital games that I had on my account,never felt so scammed in my entire life.

@@cryogenicheart2019 No,when I tried to download the digital games,it said that it wasn’t compatible with the software of my ps5,but what I don’t understand is why let the games available to download if I can’t even download and play them.And the cds happened the same thing that happened in your video,it could not read the cd.

Bro… the ps5 is a powerful machine way better than most PCs but it is funny shaped and most people cant figure out how its supposed to sit on a desk. Just look out for the playstation logo i guess

@@cryogenicheart2019 I don’t think having it upside down helps it look better. It still looks like an eye sore no matter how I sit my ps5. And don’t get me started on the looks of the ps5 slim. Honestly hope sony have a better look for the ps5 pro.
