I want to be a physician-scientist when I grow up :) specialising is neuroscience. I always come to this talk to remind me of my purpose :) Wish me luck, and I wish luck to everyone who wants to pursue this same career!

my dream is to become a physician scientist because at my early age i was exposed to things that the biochemistry of life has a lot of questions that never been solved until now and i'm currently a first year medical student trying hard to have good grades to be accepted in PhD program in the future. im not a smart student but at least i am trying hard.

This talk is a keeper to help raise awareness. I had a type A dissection July 2013. I had genetic testing with Dr Pyeritz of U Penn, and although inclusive, it seemed clear to Dr Pyeritz that there was a genetic component. When my brother dissected in December, 2015, I contacted the Ritter Foundation, and we both have been tested. I hope that will add to the pool of knowledge to prevent more untimely deaths.

We need more. Physician scientists

One thing I can say as a clinical researcher. Low pay compared to practitioners. That's why most MDs choose to practice than pursue medical or clinical science research. Research funding, too, becomes a problem right now as slowly becomes political rather than a national necessity.
