I'm a fan of softball but what I don't like is when they try to compare the two sports and act like they could compete

Comparing wins for pitchers in baseball and softball is a bit difficult since throwing a softball (underhand) is a natural motion for the body while throwing a baseball (overhand) is unnatural and more taxing on the arm. That's why college softball pitchers routinely can throw the majority of their teams games even back to back to back while in baseball this is almost impossible.

The Main problem when people compare baseball and fastpitch softball, is they tend to compare men and women to each other instead of the actual sports.

The quote, "You don't have to be either team Baseball or team Softball" says so much and shows that not everything needs to be competitive.

A pro softball league would be great…..as long as it allowed anyone to join which softball hasnt done at the college level

we in india mens plays both soft ball and baseball , i played both and also our team won and got gold medal in soft ball tournament. Softball is quick game if we compare with baseball because when a batsmen hit the ball and when it travels to any base then a base player needs to collect quickly and decide where to throw unlikely in baseball where it has more time even if we miss then also there are high chances of out. so in nutshell softball needs quick and active mind and with no errors at the base fielding #mlb #softball #baseball

Well if u have been told ur whole life if the ball is to high dont swing at it and u can tell if its to high with the time it takes for half a blink then ur told when the ball is to high u need to swing or ur wrong how’d u think u would fair

All i got to say is growing up playing little league i still played with many girls on my teams. I feel as though they start out playing baseball to get the basics but then when it starts to become more competitive and actually want to make a career out of it is when the switch to softball naturally occurs. Nothing bad about that at all!! Beautiful sports in their own rights!!!

Comparing baseball to softball is like comparing badminton to tennis or the WNBA to the NBA. They have the same idea except they are very different

I would love to watch women play baseball more. I enjoyed watching the Japanese team at Tokyo 2020 in the softball, but it would be great to see those players playing baseball to see how they do. Baseball just appeals to me more aesthetically and with the bigger distances, it would be interesting to see how pitching, baserunning and defence would work.

To me, baseball is a FAMILY sport. That's why as much as I cheer for our MLB players, I will cheer for the mothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, and nieces of the world. The more people play the sport, the more interesting the world becomes at least in my opinion. Good video, MLB!

two things: saying that the softball pitch is faster because the mound is closer is basically just compensating for the less hard throwers, and also thats like making the rim higher in wnba and saying its a harder sport. 2nd: most of the softball on baseball stuff was staged and jennie finch didnt strike out barry bond. he bunted a bunch of pitches and then stopped hitting.

Men's Fastpitch Softball is in competition with Advertising Revenue, Video Games, Merchandise, ect.... Heros get remembered. Legends can't hit a rise ball to save their lives..
