White pull stations are still allowed under grandfathering circumstances; but in most cases they have to go. But apparently if the wall's painted red TOO; the pull stations have to be a different color then red to compensate for visibility from afar. Any other wall color than red? Then the pull's gotta be red. I thought this was real interesting; I've always wondered about this.

White stations are basically not a thing anyway. A white square behind the pull on a red wall is the normal practice.

Funny, I thought that both the pull AND the signals could not blend in, because I work at an H-E-B store where they have white alarms blending in with the white ceiling, and when they sound, nobody sees them, even with the strobes.

White fire alarms also count as fire suppression warning alarms!

In my country the fire alarms have either black or white elements inside of them and they’re red on the outside. When someone presses them either the glass breaks or the element drops into a yellow bar at the top and the alarm sounds. There are different types of sounder/sounder strobes/beacons though... they are in different shapes, sizes and colours! Most of them are red or white but they have different strobe/beacon colours. If I ever get myself a 32-tone sounder I will film a video of it for you.
