Right, the driver said they saw you taking photos but still ask if you were taking photos. No admission from AB. You're on the ball, otherwise if this had escalated,somewhere along the line they'd say that you admitted it.

They want the public to live in fear of doing what is in their legal rights to do. And they care more about their private cars than the public being in danger.

Because a lot of them don't do sod all worthwhile (after the last year I'm never believing that understaffed rubbish).

You have to understand that these pcso's are humans too, and it is odd to take pics of that type of building. They were polite and and said "you're not in trouble". How many other pcsos or cops have said that on this channel. They said it to literally make AB feel more safe. And when they realised they were getting nowhere they drove off. I give them a B+, which is fantastic considering some of the other people AB has encountered

Legally you seen me holding a device towards a building, you have no way to make a claim you seen me taking photos... So the reason to stop me initially is invalid , and makes any action after that act invalid 👍

BUT, the claim about "taking pictures" might be held up...just the whole "device = phone/camera" is probably going to be laughed at; the court/prosecution would make the claim that is it "reasonable to assume" that you were holding a phone/camera, and the judge would, in all likelihood, agree with that assumption. .. It *could* have been something else...like binoculars, or a piece of tinted glass, or an oddly shaped rock, etc...but that would be far less likely that a cell phone/camera. Hence why I think they'd balk at that part. .. HOWEVER... holding a phone/camera up and looking through the view finder is *not* the same as utilizing that devices capability to take a photograph. To this, I think the prosecution would try and get a warrant to search said phone/camera/(memory card). Depending on where you live in the world, this might be easy or difficult. As AB is in Britain, I suspect it would be dirt simple...Britain, at this point, has pretty much abolished the entire idea of a persons "right to privacy". Well, unless you are a member of parliament, a constable, or a rich person with connections...those people are 'special' and don't have to obey the same rules that the peons do.
