TEDx Talks

10 жыл бұрын

Michael Neill is a coach, adviser, friend, mentor, and creative spark plug to celebrities, CEOs and royalty from the United Nations and five continents around the world. He is a best-selling author whose books have been translated into 14 languages. As founder of Supercoach Academy, an international school that teaches coaching from the inside out, Neill helps transform lives through his writing, teaching and public speaking. He also hosts Supercoach, a weekly radio segment that airs internationally on Hayhouse radio. To Neill, happiness is our natural state and we're always just one thought away from peace.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

I love this guy, he speaks volumes about what our mind perceives and what is reality. And at the end of the day, we all should just sit back and relax and be happy that we are alive and well.......and there are no scary monsters out there. Cheers.

Wow! I am just finding this talk and this author! Interestingly enough, my cousin committed suicide last year...its been a difficult road to recover. Every time someone talks about suicide in general.. "Suicide prevention month" and so on, I'd become taken over with deep sadness at this young man leaving 11 month and 22 month old boys... Somehow this talk helped me just now. In addition to giving me a perspective on my marketing business Persuits. Now I need to buy his book(s) and follow him.❤

YOU are your own Matrix (even if you did not see the movies). Your mind shapes your reality. Nice to see and hear this lecture. As one who had to learn (?) quantum mechanics and Einstein's Theories on Relativity, I was exposed to this sort of thinking in my late teens. Being positive is the best strategy in approaching this existence (in my humble opinion).

listen to 3:45 i went though a similar thing, this lead me to the conclusion that reality is, in general, shit and unchangeable. From then without the pressure of trying to understand why and how to avoid the shit happening I now ignore it, moving onto the next goal. the thai have a similar saying, it boils down to "it doesn't matter", meaning if you miss a plane, over thought on your failure does nothing to help, forget it, and book another flight.
