Maruti Gypsy was always a reliable partner of the Indian Army. Around 75000 units vehicles were recruited. But as time passed by, it became old, and replacement was needed. Specially built Tata Safari Stome GS800 and Mahindra Scorpios were given a chance
Now, Jimny came into existence to tackle the ongoing wrath of SUVs. And how could soldier their old mate and wants it back. Strangely, the jungle green colour in India is also reserved, pointing to the possibility of the Army longing for their forgotten mate. Watch the video to know more.

I am from an Army background and after talking with Military transport Soldiers they said Jimni will not be a successful Vehicle for the Army due to its tech and body structure and weight . And Dark jungle green colour is reserved for India army .
