That offside rule will ruin defense in the game. I'm not a huge fan. I think they should only incorporate that if a player is coming back from being offside and receives the ball with his back to goal, or with his momentum carrying him away from goal. If they allow that offside rule for a player running towards goal, then defenses will have to drop very deep or face the danger of constantly having runners in behind. It would make having a high line nearly impossible.

Wenger proposed this offside rule way back in 2020. I am surprised the have not introduced it yet. This would stop VAR people wasting endless minutes drawing subjective lines that few people even believe.

I really don't like the new off-side rule. To me offside should be measured from where your feet are planted. So you can lean beyond the defender's leading fut but cannot take a step beyond it.

If you ask me, I will say Zinchenko should be playing the Xhaka number 8 role and leave the left-back role for good because Tomiyaso and Kiwior have got that covered big time. Zinchenko can play the number 8 role and still support Tomiyasu or Kiwior defensively at the same time. Arteta should be flexible enough to make this conversion to give Martinelli enough room to boost our attack more centrally. While Odegaard can give Saka the option to cut in centrally around the 18-yard area and be more dangerous, Zinchenko can also give Martinelli the option to do the same with equal technical ability as Odegaard. Trossard can also play the number 8 role and Odegaard's role effectively as well. Arteta should not be rigid and should be flexible enough to convert or test players in certain positions. Partey is definitely leaving this summer. This transfer has kinda been a disaster. 45m and he’s missed about half the games. Last season was the first season he played more than 15 games. His injury record is just to much and he’s +30

I don't like that idea of the offsides law. I understand that you have to keep things interesting and this would allow for a lot more goals, but I would try for something else to be modified...Just my opinion.

they are both very good players, i believe douglas luiz is better , he does not score lots of goals unlike Neves but he hardly gets injured, luiz is stronger physically than Neves, thats what we need.
