Such dominance, we've really got to give props to Arsenal for their masterclass in the previous transfer window. To add 4 starters to a team that had already finished second in the league, and had 4 team of the year players. We're starting to see the vision they had. I'll go against the grain and say we don't need a striker to replace Gabriel Jesus. We need an alternative to him, yes. But, in that case, what we need is an upgrade to Eddie, not GJ. The reason our team plays the way it plays, it's in part due to what GJ does and I don't see Osimhen or Toney doing that. But sometimes, defenders read well Jesus's playstyle, or maybe he is injured, tired or in poor form. That is when a sub, with a diferent profile is going to be useful. I would focus in strenghtening squad depth in the defensive block, specially the wingbacks and DM situation. We do not have replacements for White and Zinny (Kiwior is a huge maybe) and I don't trust Partey's fitness anymore. Attacks win games, defenses win titles.

I think the main priority for January should be getting one more defender first. At the moment we only have our starting backline plus Kiwior, and I know Tomi will be back in a few weeks but Timber’s return is still hard to predict, so only one extra player right now is not enough. Arsenal’s biggest strength is the defence so it we absolutely have to keep it from crumbling like it did last season.

Toney in January if we are a serious club, leaving it for summer is a death wish I believe, we have a huge chance here, need to go for it and toney is the difference maker. We have been underperforming versus our xG a lot recently which is something that needs fixing

Just wanted to give Brighton props for their defending. De Zerbi coached his squad to shut down each member of the Arsenal attack, knowing how we prefer to pass and shoot. There was one opportunity for Odegaard in the second half when he was in with a good chance, but he took a touch and had to move to the other side of the goal to get a (decent) shot in, that was saved. When up against an opposition like this, the better option is to shoot first time. The exceptions were the goals (Jesus being left open at the back post from Saka's corner when Havertz dragged the last defender forward and the lovely break to see Eddie assist Havertz) and Havertz heading over. As for the continued Rambro conversation - yes, I'd like him to stay but realistically he's going to want to be #1 in an EPL squad - so if Newcastle AND Chelsea are desperate now, we should accept an offer in January, should it be big enough. If we're determined to make a purchase this January (and argue amongst yourselves as to whether that should be DM, CB, RB or whatever) and FFP is an issue then there's a good argument to gamble on Raya's fitness with Hein as backup.

As mentioned before, Arsenal must be more clinical and put games out of reach. Its like the team don't work on their finishing in training. Anfield will be intimidating and Arsenal will have to hold their nerve especially in defence. The game against Brighton showed much development from the team considering the string of results in the past. With regards to Liverpool, last season Arsenal went 2-0 up and squandered the lead to finish with a draw, so the interesting aspect will be seeing how they have developed tactically to manage the game. HOWEVER, if this boils down to mere goal scoring chances Arsenal have to show that killer instinct.....We shall see !!!!

As much as I hate to displace Jesus from his role, I do think the team needs a striker that instills a fear factor in the opposition. The kind of aura that Bergkamp and Henry had. There's a reason why Pires and Ljungberg scored so many important goals in that era, the opponent gets sucked into paying so much attention to the main threat, they forget about the wingers. Right now, everyone pays attention to Saka and Martinelli, and prepare for them. This lets Jesus and Havertz slip through the defense unnoticed. I think it would benefit Saka and Martinelli, as well as Trossard and ESR (when fit) to have a fear factor type striker that draws all the attention away from them.

Arteta has a bunch of young players who should have a greater potential development rate per year than older players. It's up to the coaching staff to execute and they seem to be doing just that. I think Martinelli's potential is the greatest of all of the Arsenal players.

I think we should get 2 signings in January .A replacement for Partey & Elneny with a worldclass midfielder and a Defender ( Tomiyasu and Timber injured). If Ivan Toney joins arsenal on Loan , it would be a great move. If we win trophies this season, we should make a CF our priority, maybe Vlahovic or Osimhen. Attackers : Harvertz Martinelli Jesus Nketiah Toney ( Maybe ) Strikers who can win us a trophy this season.

I don’t think Tony is the answer. There’s just something about him that seems trouble to me. That being said he is premier league proven unlike Osimhen, who I personally think is a hype job. Need cover for the wingers urgently, Martinelli is going through a mega dry patch. Sooner or later Saka is going to get injured through being over played.
