Keep it simple . GK is supposed to prevent goals .. Raya is bought because he added advantage to ARS whenever playing a defensive team . Distribution is key to break down team which parked the bus

If we deal with low-block team, the goalkeeper won't have to do much. GK like Raya is used to counter high pressing. His long passes are accurate so he is good for counter attack too.

Total passes? One GK has more passes than another, says a lot more about the quality of the outfield team and playing style than the Goal keeper.

Of course the passing numbers favour raya. He was at brentford last season, the ball was near his goal most of the games. Ramsdale was playing for arsenal. The ball was near the opposite goal most games.

I think Arteta will stick with him for a bit as if he drops him he will know he’s lost his place very soon into his time at Arsenal. Raya is a better ball player, but Ramsdale can at least catch a ball and shot stop, whereas Raya can’t. Baffling!

This didnt age well (after the match after Lens). I much prefer my keeper making less passes because that means that the ball is up the pitch. Thats just me.
