If we dont make 2 more signings I fear we wont make it. Rice by himself is not going to take us to the next level and Havertz is stright garbage in my opinion. Havertz and Rice in the same midfleld CANNOT work. We still need a striker because Nketiah is not good enough and we still need to upgrade our midfliend with at least one top-quality player.

This is a pretty good list imo. Spurs are the wildcard at the moment. Could see them 3rd thru 8th.

Im not an Arsenal fan but I really really want arsenal to do better this season. Last season they were great majority of the time and then they started dropping points when they were 4-5 matches away from winning it. Hope this season, Arsenal will do better than last season. I really really wish they go toe to toe with city this season and lose the league on the final day. That would be really good scenario to see aftv giving sad expressions and Arsenal fans will be watching that while weeping their eyes.

West Ham 10th? That’s surely a joke… listen, I respect Moyesy but those lot are losing Declan Rice. They will be in the bottom half Villa 11th is also a joke mate Spurs above Newcastle and Chelsea? If they lose Kane, they are going to struggle

I think we're in a good spot. Our midfield depth has gone from Partey/Lokonga/Elnenny, Xhaka, and Odegaard/Vieira to now Rice/Partey/Jorginho, Havertz/Jorginho/ESR(?), Odegaard/Vieira/Nwaneri(?). I don't see us starting Rice-Havertz-Ode off the bat, I think we'll see Partey 6/R6-Rice L8/L6, and Partey 6-Havertz L8 for the first few games while they start to build chemistry with the side, but as the season progresses, I would not at all be surprised to see a typical starting midfield of Rice-Havertz-Ode by season's end.

Yeah, pretty much anything after 4th is a crapshoot. And even then, who knows how Yanited and Liverpool do given their slow summers so far compared to rivals like Arsenal. The only predictions I am absolutely confident in this season are that Arsenal and City are a lock for UCL finishes, and that Chelsea and Spurs are well and truly long-term fucked if they miss out on UCL ball once again, and I think it's a certainty that Chelsea do. Spurs might even be fucked before the season starts if Kane goes to Bayern. No UCL money, a massive stadium debt to pay off, a gaping hole in the striker position (and team heart) to fill, and so on.

@@JuppyJuupp Mental strength wasn't the problem. The whole "Arsenal bottled the league" narrative is a lazy one and ignores plenty of nuance. We were only ever 5 points ahead of City on equal games played in the final charge of the season, and we lost those five points at Anfield and the Etihad, two grounds we've always had trouble at against two top teams. We can talk about the other games we failed to win like Forest and West Ham and Southampton, and yes we should have won those games (I'd argue we missed Saliba and Tomiyasu so much in said games, plus Partey went AWOL for a few games), but we have to credit City, they went on an insane run to close out the season and never let us get too far away, and once they beat us at the Etihad, that was it. Everyone knew it.

@@raetekusu1 everyone knew Arsenal players don’t have a good mentality. 2 years ago out of CL, last year bottled it and this year they will have to play more games in CL, etc. Only a few players that have won important trophy in the squad

I don't think Arsenal will win. The issue is that they've shown that they can't handle the pressure. Even if thia squad has experience they're still going to be under a lot of pressure now that they'll be in the Champions League and not Europa League. Also City and Liverpool have managers that have shown that they have the ability to take a squad in trouble and adapt it to play very well. When Klopp didn't have trust in Trent he put him in midfield and it worked. When City lost fullbacks Pep just switched to a back 3 to still win the league. Arsenal or United don't have the ability. Arsenal will fall under pressure and United have shown to basically give up after going behind 2 - 0. Especially against big teams like Liverpool and Brighton

You're talking about a time where Saliba's back up was Holding, ben white didnt have an adequate backup since tomi got injured, smith rowe injured, fabi not used to the league. Vs a city team that could take of mahrez grealish and have foden and bernardo there, could take off haaland and had alvarez, dias for stones, ake for akanji. Now Arsenal have a good amount of depth and can actually challenge if a player or two get injured. And then you're also talking about us trying a completely new system against man utd where rice was a lone 6 (has legitimately never played as one) with 2 10's in front.

The one thing Arteta does to players is make them learn from their errors, especially their more costly ones. Last season was them gaining experience from being in that situation, now they can learn to go beyond that and go on to win the league, especially with the more depth they have with players like Rice and Timber. They'll win it this year for me.

I think Arsenal fans are overlooking the fact Liverpool will be back, Chealsea will be back, Man U have improved and also people will be gunning for Arsnal now because of what they did last season they have become a target. Also youve wasted 65m on Harvertz who is WORSE then Xhaka and connot paly togeter with Rice, you still need a striker because Nketiah is not good enough.
