This has been bothering me for a long time: If Boa Hancock’s Mero Mero arrows can turn inanimate objects into stone, does that mean Hancock is an awakened Devil Fruit user?

I always liked the theory that blackbeard figured out how to feed devil fruits to inanimate objects and that he’d fed whitebeard’s fruit to one of his rings but because nobody feels a strong emotion for his rings I do believe this fruit kinda disproves that.

My personal pick for Blackbeard's third fruit would be something that's a) a type he doesn't have yet b) one that looks distinct from his other two, and c) makes up for one of his biggest weaknesses. So my pick would be Marco's Phoenix fruit. He would have Logia, Paramacia and Zoan all in one, its blue flames are easy to separate from his darkness and tremors, and it would help him recover from injuries since he cannot turn intangible, as well as heal his comrades. Hancock's fruit is obviously Emotion based like how the Others feel towards the Fruit Wielder (Lust or Love). If BB gets the fruit, he can use people's hate to turn them into stone. Boa's Fruit may have been some kind of Emotion Fruit instead of Love - Love Fruit.

I think he wants it for himself as the fruit also seems to work just by touching someone, so combined with the gravity that pulls people towards him, as soon as he grabs them and they lose their ability, he turns em to stone. Pretty op power tbh.

i do believe blackbeard knew of luffy's power. when shanks spoke on his scar, he mentioned that teach knew exactly what he was doing and that shanks himself "wasn't being careless." shanks also was the only person pre timeskip who was the most worried about blackbeard more than anyone. blackbeard is also probably one of the most knowledgeable ppl on devil fruits. especially with the scars being a clear mocking point for blackbeard against shanks, it seems like whatever altercation they had was more than just a mere skirmish

If Hancock’s fruit is based on emotion then it should work on Luffy as he sees Hancock as a friend which is usually a very strong emotion.

I’ve been a grand fleet member for awhile now. And from someone who lives in the United States in the state of Florida where things are very hard for the youth. Because of violence, drugs, weapons as easy to acquire like a water battle from a grocery store. I found myself being surrounded by people I didn’t want to be anything like. My own friends who I thought were my friends cost me my high school graduation. I spiraled down and started doing crazy cocktails or drugs than can bring down a horse but when all was lost. When I had no hope left for my life where I thought my life was over I found the grand line fleet I started to find inspiration to stop everything I was doing to harm myself and enter this journey with fictional pirate characters that would make me laugh,cry , scared , make me jump our my chair and cheer on the side straw hats. Which makes me feel so alive without substances. Not only does the show get credit for stealing m life in a new direction by your channel has made me excited and I’ve watched every single video even from your hunter x hunter channel. Definitely agree with the "emotions" guide how the fruit is used. For example with BB it would be hate or disgust. It would set up a cool battle where Luffy has to truly become JoyBoy in his own right instead of relying on his fruit to do so.

Well, the mero mero no mi can still turn others or objects through physical attacks but just the struck part will turn into stone regardless of lust for the user. Which is kinda overpowered if Blackbeard manages to use it with his amplified physical attacks through the tremor tremor fruit from Whitebeard. Will he turn everything he strikes through tremors and set mero mero no mi as assistance? He'll probably turn a massive radius into stone through it. And thats kinda awesome.

This is starting to get me to remember one of my theories on how Teach could have two devil fruit powers, it involves his dark dark fruit being literally a broken devil fruit and that it's not complete hence why it may be a logia but can't do what other Logias can do, my theory is that the shadow shadow fruit of Gekko Moria, and the thud thud fruit of Fujitora, are the missing Devil fruit pieces to the dark dark fruit, but now you got to wonder why the heck did the celestial dragons have those three particular devil fruits that's a force fed to the Boa sisters? Maybe they're the same way as my theory on the dark dark fruit and that the three still fruits used to be one known as the Snake Snake fruit model Gorgon.
