I went to Alaska in 2016 and was floored to see a couple still open at that point! One was in North Pole which is close to Fairbanks

A price increase and plateau in sales growth doesn't mean the company's just going to randomly bend over backwards and go bankrupt... if that was true all of the restaurants in your area would all be closed. There's nothing wrong with a business that just breaks even...

i remember that day. everyone running into the store and walking out with armfuls of extremely discounted games movies food everything that wasn’t bolted to the floor. the building still sits as an abandoned unopened tomb exactly how it was back then. no idea who’s still paying for the property tax it’s not even for sale

Last Blockbuster visit: Its 2015, i wanted to see "Big Hero 6" for my birthday. I asked my older brother to download the movie for me, but i didnt know how to open the file. He just kept saying "figure it out" and wouldn't give me the answers, so my cousin and i decided to rent the movie from Blockbuster.

It was the DVD that ruined Blockbuster. It took 3-4 months to get VHS out, and DVDs were turned around in 6 weeks, and rental stores no longer had the lead time before the movies were available in stores
