corrections: In the Kazuha side-by-side, Kazuha’s team actually struggles with Hyperblooms on the second half of the fight because the Geovishap leaves DMC’s burst. So actually Kazuha’s team should pull ahead of Candace’s in this scenario, but it’s also important to note that this Kazuha DOES have c2, so it’s difficult to say exactly how that team will compete with a Candace Hyperbloom case-by-case, and the ONLY factors taken into account with this specific side-by-side are Kazuha's EDMG buff / hydro shred for Xingqiu's personal hydro damage + the EM bonus for Hyperbloom damage. Also: while these synergies may not be the strongest in terms of damage output, there are quite a few other benefits to talk about and consider. I do usually restrict my 'God Duo' series to the MOST notable and powerful duos, but in this case I felt that the value you get for the investment makes this a duo worth discussing :) additional note: you CAN theoretically swap Xingqiu with other hydro units but you’re costing survivability, budget friendliness, rare hydro shred (if you have it), and you’re cutting out quite a bit of practicality with role consolidation.

I found Candace to be a pretty decent pick for Ayato as well. Her damage buff is actually quiet decent and both characters benefit from hydro resonance greatly. I'm going to pull for Yelan on her rerun and just go for a full mono hydro team which sounds pretty fun lol

People also seem to forget that this is a gacha game and you can't just choose another character willingly, so having characters that can do similar things is good for team comps. *edited because I noticed a spelling error so I lost my heart TvT

Xingqiu is also playable with much less ER% if it acquires Candace's hydro particles. Personally I played it in a team with Xingqiu with lion's roar along with Fischl, Kazuha as a buffer for both and finally Candace as a hydro battery for Xingqiu. Fun team where finally Xingqiu can play a more offensive weapon than the usual sacrificial sword

Honestly as a Xingqiu main, Candace has been so ridiculously fun to use with him. I've been using Xingqiu as a main dps since forever, but now it feels smoother to play than ever. I put her in his team together with Kazuha and Bennett and they absolutely shred the abyss without reactions. Xingqiu's personal damage from his burst and skill was already very high, but now with Candace's help, he can so do like 18k - 20k with normal attacks. On top of that, having her in the team makes the rotation much smoother. And also, with Candace's infusion, I can now fully utilize all stacks of the mistsplitter reforged. So it's a win in every way! I'm so happy Candace got released and that people are trying out on-field xingqiu comps. My team playstyle might be the nichest of niche, but I have a lot of fun with it.

Last patch: Fischl here's a big buff. Have fun with them Dendro teams. Current patch: Xingqiu we know you also got a buff thanks to Dendro, so here's another character that works well with you as well. I'm see how it is Hoyoverse

I was looking for a 4th character to use in the Kuki Hyperbloom team. Everyone kept saying Sucrose, but she just felt awkward as an on-fielder, especially against bosses. After watching this, I gave my Candace a shot, and it just...felt right. Getting perfect parries with her Skill is every bit as satisfying as Beidou and Yunjin's. I knew Candace had overlooked potential. Thank you so much for validating me.

I got C6 Candace as a byproduct of pulling for Cyno, and literally couldn't have cared less at the time. After discovering this video (and subsequently the rest of your channel), candinqiu hyperbloom (love the name btw) has become my favourite team comp for just about everything. I haven't even put much investment into Candace or DMC and it just tears through everything. Hats off to you good sir!

I have a gut feeling that Candace is meant to be a specific support for Nilou as an on field DPS in bloom teams since her passive means using a character like yunjin isn't possible, but they also didn't want to overthrow yunjin in her niche hence her "mediocrity"?

Another team that you can use Candace in: Double Hydro Hu Tao. When Yelan was introduced, Double Hydro Hu Tao gain prominence largely thanks to hydro resonance rework, but the issue is that Yelan is a five star and limited. We only have two hydro 4 stars during that time. Xingqiu and Barbara. Sure you could put Childe/Ayato in a flex slot for the resonance or Mona for the DMG boost but then you would get more from Double Pyro Hu Tao instead with Xiangling or Thoma. So this is where Candace steps, she can fulfill Hydro Resonance, diminish Xingqiu's ER need, and more importantly is her A4 Passive. She gives Elemental Bonus to your party member upon activating her burst. This is beneficial for Hu Tao as if you run with Kazuha, Kazuha will likely proc Hydro so no Pyro Bonus for your Tao and you only get shred, same goes to Zhongli. Candace can help fill in the gaps, to provide Hu Tao, Pyro Bonus Damage while Kazuha/Zhongli provides Shred. Another Bonus, you can just keep her Talents as 1/1/1 and only invest her level, HP, ER, and weapon.

It's always such a relief when characters I love personality/design wise turn out to be super strong as well.

Stumbled on this exact team and been playing it for the past week (Collei variant for overworld stuff, since so many puzzles require Dendro and it's just easier, but MC for "real" fights) and it's just so natural and flexible a rotation. Loved it as soon as I tried it.

glad to see someone else is talking about this team comp. honestly this is the 1st candace team comp that i thought of when i got her from the banner. the last slot of shinobu's hyperbloom team is a flex slot anyway so i agree that candace i think add something unique to this particular team comp. is it the best? maybe, maybe not but hey its a fun team comp and its budget friendly cause you dont need a 5 star unit. give it a chance.

I do like Candace because the hydro infusion is something unique that she brings to the table and the na bonus is helpful to make sure you’re not split scaling you’re investment if you use her. Even if there isn’t a meta team for her, hopefully they’ll be more hydro options where Candace starts to look more appealing but for now let’s enjoy the on field xingqui moment here

I recently have been playing around with that hyperbloom team as well! I decided to run lower investment on candace with a full instructors set, and definitely can recommend, esp if you have an instructors with good substats. Might not out-compete with the best double hydro teams, but its a lot of fun and good enough for abyss 12 so good enough for me!

Hyperbloom teams are a lot of fun. Currently I've been using Venti as my main hyperbloom activator, as with electro swirl he can group enemies together and easily proc hyperbloom with high EM. His only real weaknesses are bosses who move around a lot, and also a lack of elemental resonance as this style requires 4 different elements.

I instead made Candace a DPS and with Xiangling shes doing over 60k vape with just decent artifacts and I was like, ayo.. you kiddin' right. Don't let people fool you, you can make her one of the best hydro characters if you invest on her.

Interestingly, running Candace with yelan/xingqiu, kuki, and DMC with Candace on an offensive set like 4 gladiator also provides some good damage if you really wanna run her as the main DPS!

People often forget or gloss over Candace's Burst, specially the hydro application of the rippling wave attack that happens when you switch characters. This rippling wave have no icd and will apply hydro to enemies. The instance also increases when you have her at C6. Candace has always been designed for bloom/burgeon/hyperbloom teams, bc she provides hydro aura, enables hydro resonance, and gives hydro application. She's a superflexible character that can be slotted in many teams. The buff of her burst is also timelocked unlike Yun jin's who has a hit limit. So she buffs more hits over time when there's multiple enemies, while Yun jin can only buff 30 hits (hitting multiple enemy will consume more hits as they one hit per enemy is counted)

Thank you for showcasing Candace as a viable character. I've been using her in a bit of a meme team in the world trying to get a good comp. I may have to give DMC a shot now though. I'd already liked her with the Candace, Xingqui, Kuki, Xiangling... but now that I think of the potential with Dendro in there, it just might work.

A cool part about on-field Xinqiu is that he can buff rainsword waves, since only one can be snapshotted at a time. I remember JinJinx did a duo Abyss where Bennett + Xinqiu carried one side, a lot of swapping back and forth but actually super strong single-target when circle-impact works. I remember Demone Kim liked Xinqiu on-field since he likes the brawler types, too bad we didn't have Candace back then. I just so happened to have watched your recent Beidou video where I also commented about wanting an elec-Chong that works especially well for her, that's kind of a theme on my wish-list... I'd LOVE an anemo infuser that works well for things like hyper-Jean, anemo dmg quickswap and taser alike, before Faruzan came out I figured it'd be great to make this a part of the premier anemo-dmg buffer since I really value versatility, but sadly she is much more niche than this. Would be weird in taser, though, you could go single anemo while everyone does quickswap anemo normals to get around ICD's and swirl, that triggers Fischl A4 but it'd need a Sucrose-like EM share to pack good dmg, or you could go double-anemo along the lines of TF Kazuha. Consolidating infusion + team-EM buff into Faruzan would've been amazing, cause Xiao/Scara don't need it, it's just a bonus for weaker setups that doesn't lower her power-budget. I'd still love a character like this, though, especially cause it might actually give Faruzan more uses. Anemo is my favorite element and imo by far the strongest, but I hope other elements will get grouping from waves/bubbles/whirlpools, black holes/landslides/quicksand, vines, magnetism with the right polarity (Looking at you, Lisa), ANYTHING. I get it's Anemo's identity, but I think exceptions would greatly improve balance, cause Kazuha/Sucrose/Venti will be OP and widely used in any case, but now Jean etc. and teams without anemo altogether have an easier time being reliably competitive and versatile. A simple Jean or even Sayu build like this having great places would also diversify the healers we use, overal I think this is great.

A team comp I've actually been enjoying is Kaeya, C6 Candace, Xingqiu, and a flex unit. I unexpectedly realized how synergistic my Kaeya is on this team: runs 2PC Blizz+2PC Glad with an Atk% Goblet (sounds copium, but it's one of my best artifact pieces bc of its ~25% Crit dmg) so he doesn't lose out on any Cryo dmg bonuses from Candace's infusion AND I use Haran Geppaku Futsu on him, which gives All elemental DMG bonus passively. (best budget substitute I can think of is 4PC Blizzard with Cool Steel for the dmg increase against Hydro and Cryo affected foes) Combined with Xingqiu's C2, Kaeya actually has around 32 Hydro DMG bonus from this team I run. And I've crowned my Kaeya's NA talent, so when all parts are working together, he can hit for over 10K on his final 2 hits of his normals! But yeah. The flex can be Xiangling for Reverse Melts and Forward Vapes, An Anemo Grouper/VV Shredder, Yun Jin... whatever you want!

I was running a team of Candace/Kuki/Collei/Sayu as a sub-team since none of them are at max level yet and I was talking to my brother about it and after hearing my rotation he immediately said to swap out Sayu for Xinqiu since I didn't need the extra healing or the swirl, I considered it but this video convinced me to make the switch.

I did some pulls for C2 kuki (had her C0) and candance decided to show up, i was not going to build her but seen this video i want to test it lol (plus i have a xinqiu with no team currently so its perfect)

This makes me happy. Because I love Candice so much. I was struggling to find a spot for her. Definitely going to try this. Now I just have to level up my Kuki. To the chasm I go 😢

I was looking for a possibility to swap Kazooha with Candace in my Ayaka freeze team, and this video showed me that this could actually be a decent choice (I also forgot about Hydro resonance, and this'll make Xingqiu healing way better), but the Hyperbloom team you showed also looks very interesting since I have all the required characters and weapons, so I'll maybe try it out too

3:24 You actually missed out on a bunch of hyperblooms in the Kazuha variation because the Geovishap was outside DMC's burst on the later half of the rotation. Even then, I'm pretty sure Sucrose would perform better than Kazuha in this team because she is an on-field anemo driver with EM sharing. I don't think that was a good showcase to prove your point.

My C0 Candace is hitting 35k vape so far I’m not done building her yet though and I use her with Yelan I haven’t took Candace off the team yet plus she increases my Yelans & Hu Taos HP and elemental skill dmg.

Coming back to this after Layla's release is noteworthy for freeze comps, as she's a Cryo unit that benefits from HP%.

i like the concept, but see Candice's strength more in her infusion for the whole team. this means, when you swap through your teammates one after another, each can apply hydro resulting in constant blooms (separate icd for each character!). imo, with Candice in the team, you don't even need xing and could run for example zhongli for more survivability.

as a xingqiu main who got mistsplitter just for him, I am SO HAPPY that we got this unit!! Candace is so great and she will buff my damage greatly. I was thinking about pulling for c6 bennett to constantly vape his rain swords and get the extra elemental damage bonus from mistsplitter… but I don’t know which one is better: candace? Or c6 bennett?

On er, hp, hp setup Candace dmg bonus actually cover up the dmg loss from not having hydro dmg goblet. Very nice QoL if you need an alternative hydro unit for your 4 star melee feezecomp.

I've been running Kazuha in my hyperbloom team (with Nahida, XQ, Kuki) but it always seemed to be a bit of a waste. And if I am doing spiral, I may need Kazuha on another team. Tried out other flexs for Kazuha, but nothing seemed to click. I got Candance randomly, did not know if I wanted to invest in her. So thanks for the vod, this gives me a good reason to build her up. I also love her design, a very smooth and elegant character to play.

I just got skyward blade on my standard banner, and its passive makes me think who is a good sword dps, and I thought about xingqiu and candace would work! skyward blade xingqiu might be good as well with 4pc HoD. Skyward blade - Emblem still good, but maybe too much ER ? I'm so excited to try this xingqiu candace team core.

That free rotation is such a big fun factor. If we had a sacrificial spear, the flexibility would make for god tier fun and skill expression.

I know u said xingqiu is better as the dps but i love how candace fights and i’m all into hyperbloom so thanks a lot.. I can finally use my c6 candace now without having the feeling that its all shit and other chars would work way way way better

This team but with Xiphos on traveller in a few hours. I got C1 Candace trying for more Kuki cons so this might be a good one to try depending on how the weapon banner goes.

You cant tell everyone a character is bad becasue every account has different luck on character and weapons so what wont work for you , will work on a different account because of team comp limitations and simply how far your progressed and how many characters you already have build or are in the process. I got XG pretty late and i was already too invested in other characters so i still need to work on his talents and a full set, but as soon as he is done, will pair him with Candace. I have Yelan but didnt see much of a boost with Candace

Her performance is pretty much what you would expect a balance 4* should be Good in most team and perfect in 1 or 2 team, her best team right now probably cyno team since her buff affect both his NA and Aggravate and if you have c6 she can make some seed for hyperbloom

you mentioned candace beeing a worse option for on-field but didnt go much into it. so assume its because of her slower attacks? her NA multipliers should make up for that tho? i would be interested if you have tried it the other way and if it was much worse. i dont like xingqiu but am using Candace together with Yelan right now and am in the process of building a hyperbloom team. if i wanted to use Yelan instead, candace would obviously be on-field because yalans attacks cant be infused. but how much worse is that really? id like to know your opinion on that.
