Renditions of the Soul is the sixth solo album and the fifth studio album by Filipino singer Nina, released in August 2009 by Warner Music Philippines. The album contains a selection of the most requested songs from her "All-male hits" special weekly acoustic radio show of the same title, which airs on Wave 89.1 during Friday and Sunday evenings.

Its been months ...Earlier, I heard this song over the radio and one person swiftly popped in my mind. Sometimes, you have to let go not because you just want to but it's a call. A call to stop to make things lighter/pain less and it wont be hard to make a choice or decision. #happiness :)

Kung hindi ka dumating sa buhay ko di ako masasaktan ng ganito. Masaya ako dahil nakilala kita. Pero nalulungkot ako dahil hindi na kita makukuha. May asawa at anak kana. Hindi ko kaya manira ng pamilya. Kahit pagiging magkaibigan mahirap sakin tanggapin sa ngayon. Hindi ko kaya. Hindi dahil ayaw kita sa buhay ko. Kung alam mo lang kung gaano kita kagusto. I have a friend that I really like but she doesn't seem to notice it yet.. We are close to each other that we tease each other everyday and have fun all the time.. Isang eksena sa buhay mo na sobrang mahal mo ang isang tao pero kahit anung gawin mo....hindi magiging sayo. The most painful is meeting your soul mate but letting go because it was the wrong time difficult situation. And knowing who he is and the person and never having the chance to be with him. After time passes. The mind makes you more aware that the your heart was right all along. But LoVE is not selfish! If love was, then it would of been his life that would of been ruined. So at times letting go is maybe the BEST thing I could of done for the 2 of us. I just pray and hope he knew and knows. If that is what’s going to set me free.

I fell in love with an athlete sa palarong pambansa 24 years ago when we were so young. We were each others first love.It was so amazing but then he had to leave to go back home. We did the long distance love affair with letters then I had to leave to go to the US even farther from each other. Despite that we continued for a year. Time and distance separared us that we eventually lost touch until my 19th birthday, I received a letter from him wanting to continue what we had but my life was a mess that I did not even respond . I cried myself to misery that day but I had to get my life together even though I loved him so much. Fast forward 24 years later. Found each other on FB. Both married with children. We talked and as if nothing has change. We both still have feelings for each other even after all these years but things are even more complicated than before. I have always thought I had move on and feelings are gone but was so wrong but like before love was never kind to us. It is so unfair when 2 people who love each other can't be together! Maybe in another lifetime.

It takes two to tango. That will depend on him/her, if the person is already committed to someone or loves somebody else. You always know the situation or the score between the two of you, if you have good chemistry combined. What is important is that she/he has also feelings towards you. If not, that will remain a dilemma, so difficult to struggle with. In this song, it seems like "nagtapat na sya", but expectation was unmet. There was pain, there was a wound but only time could heal it, the memories will become scar later on. Mahirap pag bagong tapat ka lang, as what other says: "di ako maka get-over." But then again, there would be acceptance in the long-run.

may mga bagay na mahirap harapin, kung maganda ka .. hindi ka kagad madaling makakapili nang taong sasagutin mo, dahil huhusgahan sya nang mga taong nsa paligid mo "ay bakit sya ang pinili mo" .. pero ang mahirap?! yung hindi mo sya maipag tangol at ma ipag malaki sakanila ? kaya sa huli iniiwan ka nya.. hindi dahil sa hindi ka na nya mahal kundi hindi kayo pwede sa isat isa . well kung ko nasa posisyon mo ate, susundin ko na lng parents nya, mahirap kakumpetensya ang magulang, pero it doesn't mean na tpos na yung sa inyo, maybe ngayon hindi pa pwede, pero kung mahal niyo tlga isa't isa, in time pwedeng maging kayo, malay mo both of u just need to prove something sa parents nung guy, kasi ang parents naman wlang hinangad kundi ang makabubuti sa anak nila diba, so ayun, siguro magiging kayo din kapag tama na ang mali at pwede na ang hindi :)

may mga magulang kasi sa sobrang pagmamahal nila sa mga anak nila halos ayaw ng mawalay ang mga ito. At sabi nga ng kakilala ko, minsan daw nasasanay ang magulang na nsa kanya ang atensyon ng anak kaya di sila sanay na bigla bigla may ibang makikihati sa atensyong iyon..
