Cellos are hollow, so they can actually be a lot lighter than they look. The best part imo is running to school with it strapped to my back so people think I have super strength or something lol.

One thing that I definitely enjoy about playing the cello, is that I can sit with my legs open without being judged haha

Cellos are quite light, it's the hard cases that are heavy. I tried learning the violin, but my fingers are too fat, so I went with the cello and it was a much better fit and I love the sound a lot better; it has the range of a human voice. I also love the fact that I can sit and play. I used to play the guitar, but it gets tiresome after a while standing and playing, especially when you don't really have a space to sit.
