Why Change Is So Hard | The Mindset Mentor Podcast
In this episode, we're diving into why change is so hard and how to make it easier on yourself. Changing is essential to creating the life you want, but many people are simply waiting for life to change instead of taking action. We'll explore the psychological cycle of change, developed by psychologists Don Kelly and Daryl Connor, to help you understand the emotional stages you'll go through during the change process.
Join me in this episode as we explore the emotional cycle of change, gain a deeper understanding of ourselves, and learn how to cope with the changing emotions as we go through the change process.
I'll see you on the next episode of the Mindset Mentor Podcast.

I went through this process on my journey of physical fitness. It’s amazing once you finally start to see your hard work paying off and it becomes easy to continue because the progress becomes addictive!

I needed to hear, though I know true, to not do the easiest thing to do in the world when in the valley of dispare. QUIT. I’m 40. I’ve done that to many times. Usually becaaue is the opinion of others but still, I quit. I am restarting my upcoming business making porch signs even though it won’t be easy. I LOVE THE DESIGNING and wood preparation and when they left my daily life, my happiness started to dwindle. I’m not quitting this time.

Damn, was THIS timely! I’m currently in the “valley of despair, but beginning to get a taste of the next level. It’s damn, hard, work and quite frankly,I’d like to crawl under a rock somewhere just to take a break from the intensity of it all. But the sweetness of the new way I’m touching on is egging me forward to continue. Thanks for this!

But thought someone have to go through all stages, it is possible to lessen the time of stage 2 & 3 by learning from those before you and take smarter decisions, tho if they weren't as much smart i think it is still better than quitting.. Also, to endure the lower stages, i guess it's imperative, not only to list the advantages of a change, also to list the disadvantages of the current situation, as i do believe people can get themselves moving whenever they're in an unlikable situation.. Not long ago i made one of the biggest change i rented my business and focused on being a college instructor and i see myself steadily moving up at stage 4, and i believe what gave me the courage to continue (as it will never be a flower road all the times even if you're in the perfect position) is mindfully thinking about how i used to be and why i don't want to go back!

I'm looking for a video Rob put out and I am having a hard time finding it. The discussion is about being addicted to negative thoughts. He explains how the body produces cortisol when stressed and that your body will want that hit so it thinks negative thoughts. Something like that , has anyone seen this one?

Going by what other drs and scientists says and what this has done for me….COLD WATER. It doesn’t matter if it’s cold shower or baths or cold plunges and ice baths. Any of them changes everything and that’s why most of the amazing, educated and driven people on FB or in life, life revolves around cold water daily and meditation daily. If I would have known and out into action these two things, my 40 yr old life would be ten fold in every facet 😊

That question my friend is the most brilliant, psychologically understanding, without you understanding yet, question and I hope he answers your question. That blows me away that you are 15. I would like to think I would have had the insight to see the importance of that, finding ways to be more energized and motivated and productive. LOVE YOUR LEADERSHIP 😊

@@HRamazanoVv I agree with Scotty. To be in an enquiry of life at 15 is awesome. Look up Bob Proctor, the old videos and watch Napolean Hills lectures. Good luck, young wise one. We hope to see your name in lights not too far away
