Hey Heather I suffer from PTSD depression anxiety but when I'm feeling down I get out on my mtb and hit my local trails in the UK and I am free when I am out

I agree 100% bike ride makes any day better. When I found out my mom died an hour later I was out for a 2-hour bike ride. It did not fix the situation but it made my mindset better.

Good timing for your video, I have the men's version of your bike and was putting it for sale. I coach a lot and the ebike allows me to take a easier day riding when I'm super busy or as you did do a strength workout and still get in a ride. Keep up the awesome videos.

Had a Santa Cruz Tallboy Carbon frame that was recently stolen. At 69 years young, I looked into a full suspension e-Bike so I could keep up with my 35+ year old son's. I ended up buying the Specialized Levo SL Comp and I absolutely love it. Weighs in at 38 pounds and feels like my Santa Cruz on the trail. Love having the little bit of power on the climbs. Great video....

Great work! Solid riding, good camera work, the SoCal trails are very cool. I've ridden some of them and your videos are very well done. I like your food, gear, and the fact that you incorporate your riding friends into your videos. You are always enjoying the trails and the experience! Very good MTB channel and I enjoy it. When I was looking at ebikes I was considering the giant ebikes, but I wanted a bit more. I also wanted a hard tail 29er. I got me a Kona el Kahuna. I love that thing and want to get me either a Santa Cruz another decent carbon full suspension. The ebike isn’t cheating, just a different way to do things more efficiently. I love my ebike.

E-MTB here, it is unfortunate there is a stigma and limitations on trails. Thankfully many of the new trails / parks are open to them. I push myself more on an E-MTB than a non E but no matter what type of rider you are it is all the same goal to get out and shred as often as possible. For me an E variant gets me out there 4x more and am becoming a much better rider at a rapid pace.

After watching your video yesterday you inspired me, I went and hit the Luge at sunset!👍🏻

I picked up YT Decoy last year and 4 months later bought a Commencal Meta Power SX that arrives in a few weeks. Before these I was on a DB mission Pro that immediately, after I got the Decoy it just sat collecting dust. Sold it and have no plans to go back to a regular bike lol

Thanks for the great vid! I know that place! I ride the canyon mostly as a roadey. But a buddy took me out on the luge after about a 20yr hiatus from mtn bikes. Ton of fun but I still prefer northeast forest single track and XC riding.

Lifting weights is good for mtb’er. I did noticed doing squat and deadlifts make those climbing easy and we can charge technical terrains like nothing. . 👍

I think an eBike is a good sport if you want a bike that’s almost a mountain bike, about twice the weight and allowed on most of the mtb trails. But consider just getting an electric bike like a Segway or Sunray, my friend has one with a Fox40 and coil shock. It’s pretty amazing and base models are the same price as eBikes.

Here in MI Ebikes are not permitted on our local trails. None of us are getting younger so I’m wondering if my state will ease up on the restrictions to accommodate the older generations that may need peddle assistance in the near future.

It's not the e-bikes themselves that have a bad rap, it's the people who tend to buy them lol.. If most e-bikers weren't such d-bags, people wouldn't care about them as much.. I'd be interested in buying one so I can get in waaay more laps in a day, but they're not allowed on my local trails......and I'm not going to be one of those d-bags who rides them where they're not supposed to and threaten our trails lol.. I got out of mountain biking 20 years ago after a crash. I decided to get back into it, and got an ebike. I love the thing, but of course our wonderful gov't (USFS in particular) has seen fit to NOT ALLOW ebikes on 99% of the trails. Not that that's gonna stop me, but it's still frustrating. I want to use it to start getting back into shape, and then I might get a regular trail bike.

Man, you seem to be having such a good time, it's awesome! Totally interested in a E-bike, but the HUGE downside of an E-Bike is that they are illegal on almost all my local trails, specifically the good ones. There are tons of people that skirt the rules with E-bikes (see them every ride), but I do not want to be that guy and potentially help get trails shut down to all mtb's because I cannot follow the rules.

I have definitely thought it would be nice to have an e-bike, usually whenever I’m climbing brutal hills, but I like progressing without a motor and earning my downhills. I would be far more likely to get a gravel grinder or road style e-bike to experience more of the scenic routes. When they make 30 pound full-suspension e-bikes with a battery that lasts all day and I’m convinced of its reliability and longevity, I’ll be on board. Until then, sticking with my legs!
