I personally feel very sad when I realize just how ungodly we all have become. Almost all of the governments in the Western world seem to have abandoned Christianity completely. So called human rights have and are replacing the Word of God and it has become a crime to point this out. The good news, however, is also found in the scriptures, and that is that the day is coming soon when God Himself will put an end to this travesty.

I remember an issue of Liberty Magazine with an editorial cartoon on the cover showing some of the major American TV and radio preachers of the day (1990's) like Jerry Falwell and James Dobson. Even then preachers like this were insisting Christian's rights were being trampled on by Hollywood, the media and the intellectual elites who run western civilization now. The cartoon showed them in the Roman Colesseum. Instead of being fed to the lions, they were being licked by cats. I get your words in many ways. Having grown up in a day when nominal Protestantism was the dominant thought system here in Canada at least, it can be hard sometimes to keep my mouth shut. We were debating abortion then, but gay marriage and legalized euthanasia, prostitution and marijuana were a long way off. In 2021 I lost a 30-year real life friendship because of an antiliberal post I put on Facebook. I'll say it, they chose their gay son over Christ. But it still hurt. God has given me great gifts in the ability to teach and preach myself, but I could never be a pastor. I wouldn't be able to be kind enough to people whose problems are their own fault, and they just can't see it. One verse that has helped me see God's working in world history right now is the last half of Daniel 12:7: "... when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished." All the Bible says about the mark of the beast and the antichrist will take place when the church has no more power in the western world.
