Civil engineering is a branch which can take you to heights or drop you to the bottom. There is no mid in this. I am civil engineer 2017 batch pass out. Currently enjoying my career in a public sector company. I love my job I love being a civil engineer and the reputation and respect I get in the society. The feeling of being called engineer sahab is next level😅 So give your 100 percent in your degree and you can do wonders both in private and government sectors.

Civil is a overstressed and underpaid branch. No matter how skilled you are, still you are being paid less as compared to your workload. Even if you consider USA and other developed countries, civil engineers are underpaid. Everyone opts a professsion to live a respectable life and achieve his financial goals. There are so many fields that are easier than civi and pay is more so why to stick with this oldest shitty branch. The KZfaqr is right to some extent.

Learn to code, make some fake experience of 1 year ( internship etc) and somehow join a company. You will get calls. Don't wait for Civil Engineering companies. There are no companies in civil engineering in private. Or if you have patience and can crack exams then try govt job that's the only way. Last option - MBA

@@DarkCastleBoy Civil main private jobs nahi hai. Uneducated contractors ke under kaam karna padega. 14 hours shift on site, 50 degree temperature, no Sat Sun off. And salary just 10k per month. Isse better to 10th pass BPO wale kama lete hain. Koi respect nahi hai Civil Engineers ki India main.

You did not mention about BIM industry where Civil Engineers are earning in lacs. No Civil Engineering means no architecture which further means no construction.

Isliye jitni mehnat civil demand krti h aur jitna paisa deti h uska balance nhi h bilkul vi. Isliye ye branch ekdm bekar h, is se ghatiya kuch ho nhi skti. Ha, agr aap corruption krna chahte ho to civil ek better option h , bt hr aadmi ko chori ka paisa khana shi nhi lgta h .

L&T khud ajkl IIT aur top college me nhi jaa rha hai recruit krne... Kyuki unhone jo recruitment krna tha kr liya phle hi.. ab udhar ke Engineer resign nhi dete hai aur koi position khali hi nhi hoti jaldi.. attrition rate boht kam hai unka....😂

Bhaiya, I'm getting civil engineering in jadavpur university. Aur dusra option hai peivate clg se circuit branch. Konsa preferable hai? I'm a girl btw woh bhi shayad ek factor hai civil me. Kuch bol reh hai core branch lena chahiye aur kuch bol rahe hai cs ece jyada achha hai. Kya kare

I suggest you to go for circuit branch sis.... Don't join civil it has no scope or no value... I am saying it from my experience... don't hesitate go for CS/ECE... But never join core branch... Even IITians and NITians are struggling after civil engineering

Guys only take CSE or ECE don't do this fucking mistake of choosing Civil or mech or any lower branches….. Such branches will only make you feel worthless and make you regret on your decisions…. Such dead branches should not be taught in Colleges.. Take CSE or ECE if in Private college then take it don't think for second time… Agar mental health ki m** na chu**** chahte hoon toh IT sector mein chale jao nhi toh life jhaand ho jayega

Hello Bhaiya ,it is A very helpful video for me......I am currently in 12 scored 97percentile in JEE mains so I am thinking of doing Civil Eng from a NIT.I think I can do 2-3 years of struggle with less salary as I know More the Exp more the salary. But what I fear is what if I do not get placed in any company?.........One thing I don't like computer Sitting jobs like CS that why I want a field job where Real eng skills apply. So what would u advice me to do

If You are From Middle Class Family and Want to Do Job For Lifetime Then Its Okay to Pursue for It and If You Are Pursuing for Civil In Case for Your Own Business Then It Will Require So Much Contacts in Market or Field and Financial Support and have to Work 24×7 days Wheather as Job or Business And If You are Introvert of A Person Who dont want to or Won't Get Surrounded by More Peoples then It will Seem Little Difficult for Working on Field and If You Are Extrovert Then You will be Passionate for Weekends or Travelling so Here it Will Give some Problems because Only few Companies Gives you Weekoffs and Holidays .....Mostly Site Engineers & Supervisors Work 24×7 on Field & Without ImProper Management of Company you will have to Work Untill the Work Goes on Whether it Comes to Overnight. From Morning 9:00am to 12-1-2-3 AM Midnight

Koi field acha ya bekar nahi hota bro , aur engineering ka scope to kabhi khatam nahi hota . Bas do cheez karna : 1. Interest wala field chunna. 2. Higher grades laana. Agar India me jobs ka dikkat bhi hoga to , achha grades rahega to India ke bahar bhi job/further study ke liye University aasani se mil jayega. @@amitjaiswal454

Civil is very good branch do it and go for upsc Indian engineering services or any state engineering services u will get very good job Do only if you want government job But u have to work very very very hard If u don’t work hard u have no career Your life will become Jhaand And u will regret your decision of becoming civil engineer Civil is best branch Only u have to work hard U can even go to other countries like Australia or Indonesia there is also good scope for civil engineering U can even give gate exam and get place in very good psu
