Jey and la are already top stars in the company there just not considered the face like Cody but honestly Roman is still kinda considered the face Cody doesn’t even come close to Roman

The main reason he got over was because he was a fresh face that had the potential to finally dethrone Roman. He was also shot to the moon as soon as he got there by winning the Rumble and beating Seth twice. But what really got him over was his peck injury that he fought through during his match. After he lost to Roman. The sympathy/Underdog faze was in full effect. "Finish the Story" " Make your dad proud" etc ... That's why Cody had all that momentum in his current WWE run ( people love his theme too) Now that you understand how he got there ill explain why people are turning on him. The Underdog story/sympathy angle is not sustainable when you're no longer the victim/ the underdog. Cody is not like The Rock, Austin, etc...they got over based on mic skills, how cool their *character* was, and their charisma. When he rejoined WWE nothing changed about him. It was the same Cody from AEW. A place where he had go away heat. Cody rejoined WWE at the perfect time but he's nothing special like most of HHH vanilla darlings.

@@dallas317 Hogan was a phenomenon the world was going crazy over . Everyone in the world knew who he was. He was charismatic, had a character, and larger than life. Hogan made wrestling blow up. Once Cody became Champ the ratings dropped. As soon as no one was carrying him people lost interest. The Rock increased the ratings and Cody made them drop. If it wasn't for Drew punk, Wyatt Sicks and Liv Dom the WWE would be in shambles. Hogan got over without any storyline or sympathy. He got over because he was simply cool. Cody on the other was a midcarder his whole life and is now the king of the niche hardcore crowd. He doesn't draw like Hogan and never will. He didn't even change much from AEW. He's the same guy people didn't want there. His final days you had fans that literally wanted him to leave . John Cena was clearly Hogan's successor in terms of being a babyface. He's wayyyyyyy more successful. Cody's mainly known by neck hairs. I think with reasoning and logic and you think with your precious feelings. Next time try atleast explaining your reasoning.
