What you need to know, in addition to performing this function: "Converting to curves" removes the properties from the objects that makes them what they actually are. Text has their own "built-in" properties, like editing, kerning, changeable case, font substitution, etc. Those are most of the things that give text their qualities. Just like text... shapes (drawn from the shapes toolbar) also have built-in properties that allow for convenient manipulation, such as rounded corners, fillets, & sizing. When you convert anything to curves, you now have full editing control of that object's shape, without any limitation. "Converting to curves" removes all of it's properties, and leaves the object as a plain, editable polygon. The biggest advantage to converting to curves is if you've created a file, with certain fonts that you do not want substituted with any other font, in the event that those fonts become corrupted, missing, or if your document is sent to another user that doesn't have the same fonts in their computer. In many instances, users pay for fonts that are not already included in their graphics software. These fonts are usually expensive. But in order to send a document to another user, you'll be forced to send a copy of your fonts to that user. And guess what... you just gave someone free fonts that you paid for.

I learned a lot from your video. It's difficult coming from a free program like Windows Paint. Your going over the powers of Corel Draw definitely makes it easier then reading pop up tool tips. Tool tips don't really explain all that much. So with that, I want to thank you much!
