The Bruce Lee/ Wong Jack- Man fight did happen and according to Bruce's wife, Linda, the fight lasted about a 3 minutes. Linda said that Bruce said that traditional Wing Chun was to restrictive and not practical in the real world. Lee decided to develop on style which combined the strengths of different martial arts stlyes as well as boxing techniques. Jeet Kune Do. It was a style without a style.

His wife also changed the outcome of that fight twice ( on the record ) First time she said he gave up Second time she said bruce knocked him out. Also said she said she was the only witness while the wong jack man side said they had several masters at the fight as a witness.. so this whole wong jack man fight is a bit sus if you asked me with all the different stories from both sides.

I’m going at it back and forth with these new generation guys who thinks BL can’t fight because he ever had a legitimate fight. IDK what the hell they’re thinking but UFC didn’t exist back then and they come up with excuse to discredit him, it’s annoying and exhausting smh

People's skills usually diminish as they grow older. Yip (Ip) Man had cancer in his later years, and he smoked opium to deal with pain. Yip Man (the person, not the movie character) gained notoriety for defeating a White Eyebrow, Pai Mei master. He never fought Western boxers, ten Japanese Karateka, or many other things falsely portrayed in the movies. Donnie Yen is phenomenal, regardless. 🙏

Offcourse.. he didnt compete.. all stories about him are about "he says she says" .. we gotta believe the people that created the mystique around him.. I get the doubt. Nowadays you can't be great without proving it or else you would be considered a mcdojo master.. back in the day ..no internet.. just people telling stories you had to rely on.. Personally i think he was a great athlete.. a splendid martial artist.. but a world class fighter? I doubt that..
