Not sure people in the US agree. Studied US history including, WWI, WW2, cold war, VietNam, perestroika, Gulf Wars, Middle East, Afghan, Iraq and Pacific. Never heard the Black Sea mentioned as a US interest. Yes, Roosevelt visited Yalta but not because we had an interest there. It's a Europe thing, not an American thing. It was so uninteresting that presidents and state from Reagan to Biden have repeatedly blundered and failed to even pay attention to their comments here. @@kojootti168 The point that you need to here clearly, is you need to defend yourself. Americans defend their interests, interests that are changing and don't necessarily include you. This is a message presidents from Bush to Biden have delivered to deliberately deaf, passive, under defended European states. The unsettled and constantly evolving border along eastern Europe is something Europe, the border states and Russia will take the lead on. Americans dont care about the outcome details or timing. No American blood will be shed there. Our eyes look West.

@indycoon
@indycoon Жыл бұрын
It's started in Kiev. where USA has organized a coup in Ukraine in 2014. Crimea and Donbass refused to recognize the illegal government installed by the West because it was composed from western puppets and radical nationalists. Crimea was an autonomy with own government and parliament, they set a referendum and people voted to join Russia. Donbass was attacked illegally by the army. They also had a referendum to separate from UKraine. Kiev and Donbass signed Minsk agreements in 2015 in order to stop the war. The agreement was approved by UN. But Ukraine didn't follow the agreements and Russia had to interfere after 8 years of the civil war and after a heavy attack on Donbass by UKraine in 2022, It looks like you are not getting a real information from Ukraine.

@@indycoon man I gotta comment again. The Minsk stuff has nothing to do with Russia, according to themselves and why they didn't follow them. You ignore Russia desposing and setting up a puppet government and invasion in crimea. Like the very thing you say happened in Ukraine, which wouldn't matter because they're a democracy, literally happened with Russia. But you ignore the hypocrisy. Edit: again, Russia had zero reason to interfere. It's crazy you add that in there. When there is absolutely zero reason for Russian interference. They just land grabbed a region that they've been trying to destabilize or puppeteer.
@indycoon
@indycoon Жыл бұрын
@@DSan-kl2yc minsk agreements would allow Ukraine to reintegrate Donbass. It was enough to protect Donbass people rights and safety with a special status inside Ukraine. But after 8 years Ukraine refused from Minsk agreements and attacked Donbass again. So Russia had to recognize Donbass republics and assist them with providing their safety as Russia was a guarantor according to the minsk agreements. Crimea had the same legitimate parliament and government as in Ukraine. Kiev govt was illegal and installed by the West. When you call them a democracy, it's really funny because it's a dictatorship where other opinions are just impossible and many people are killed and arrested for their opinion.

War in the Crimea. There have been no such losses in the USSR-Russia since 1945. (Forecasts of the Dnieper Kassandra) * Just as the "Stingers" radically changed the course of the war in Afghanistan and led to the defeat of the USSR, so Excalibur (precision-precision projectiles), the new X-weapon ... dramatically changed the situation at the front in favor of Ukraine. 45 thousand soldiers and officers of the Russian Federation, 11 generals have already died ... The flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the cruiser "Moskva", lies at the bottom. In the Crimea, at the airfield near Saki, in one day on 08/09/22, 23 aircraft and helicopters of the 43rd Sevastopol Aviation Regiment (half of all fleet aircraft) were destroyed or damaged. This high-tech attack will go down in the history of wars. There have been no such losses in the USSR-Russia since 1945. The whole world is discussing the details. This is a blow to the ambitions of the Kremlin, which lost to the new technologies of the war... But the biggest blow was dealt to the psyche of the inhabitants of Crimea and vacationers from the Russian Federation - the war enters their backyard... The "unsinkable aircraft carrier Crimea" is waiting for the fate of the cruiser "Moskva". .. * 51 countries of the planet supply Ukraine with effective weapons, means of communication, money, food, medicines, modern technologies... Even China has declared that Crimea and Donbass belong to Ukraine. In the 19th century, the Russians wrested many territories from China, the Chinese remember this, and are waiting for the moment when Russia weakens in order to return what has been squeezed out ... On Chinese maps, Vladivostok and the Amur Region are again shown as a historical part of the Middle Kingdom ... It is symbolic that the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet was attacked by the Chinese drone Majin 5 PRO... Therefore, Russia decided to conduct military exercises "Vostok-2022" in September, during which scenarios for a war in the Far East and possible "gestures of goodwill" - the transfer of part of the territories to Japan and China in exchange to lift the sanctions. Anecdote on the topic:. *What are you doing for the future of Russia? - I'm learning Chinese. * Roll call of centuries: After the defeat in the Crimean War of 1853-56. The king abolished serfdom. After the defeat in the "Crimean War" 2014-2023. in Russia to "cancel" the anger and envy of the "collective Putin" neighbors. * Restoration of the future RF. Ahead is a long rehabilitation and retribution for the maniacal desire to rewrite the History of the 20th century, because the Kremlin has long been suffering from imperial "political schizophrenia" - megalomania and persecution delusions. The historical genetics of Russia is the permanent seizure of foreign lands and property, the recognition of someone else's as one's own. "Why do we need such a world if there is no Russia?" - said Putin. In the Caucasus, they answer: "Why do we need such a Russia, because of which there will be no peace?"

Crimea belongs to Ukraine, however much russians and orks like to holiday there. Brits love holidaying in Spain, Portugal, France and Italy, but we don't invade them, just like any normal non-invading country. The russian speakers in Crimea are, in general, imported recently or in the past. And russians expelled and persecuted huge numbers of the native population, Crimean Tartars, mostly muslims. Unfortunately for their neighbours, russia imposes its empire on them, now and in the past. The spell is broken. In future russia will be contained within its lands or pushed back if they try to invade others. The world is simply not going to put up with their murderous, terrorism of peaceful peoples.

First is full extermination of ukrainian nation and identity, second one collapse of russia as country. russia is last empire, it can't live normally without expansion, especially without Ukraine. Their identity as "nation" build on myth that they're successors of Kyivan Rus' and to make this true, there must be no Ukraine, as main cultural, mental and geographical successor of Rus'. If russia won't collapse and will let go all conquered nations, it won't be friendly. They already made this with Ceimea, they telling that it's historically russian land, but first occupation of Crimea by russia eas only in 1783(for european history like few days ago) and there was 0% russians, and about 90+% of Crimean Tatars (2 millions) first time russians became majority there was in 1944(last and full deportation of Crimean Tatars) they almost erased them from history and their homeland (there's now about 250 000 of Crimean Tatars 12% of 1783 population) they were allowed to come back only in 1990-th in last year's of USSR and first years of Ukrainian independence, and now they're again under heavy repressions, because they're ruining myth of "russian Crimea"

American citizens may not be able to afford medical care, housing, gas,clothes or food due to the 40yr high in inflation and the current recession that America is in due to government spending. However, if Americans really care about preventing climate change and protecting the border and sovereignty of Ukraine then without a doubt Biden should give Ukraine whatever it needs. Ukraine doesn’t have the finances or resources to protect its border and sovereignty the way the America protects theirs. Russia would of never attempted to invade if Ukraine had open border policies like America. If Ukraine had 2 million illegal immigrants coming across their border every year with record amounts of fentanyl seizures and a historic annual overdose of over 100,000 deaths a year then Russia would of thought twice about invading.
