that's the real problem. one mistake in this extremely risky playstyle and there goes 40+ hours of equipment+grinding.

@@czarodziejharry245 Yeah, also if they ever have an event where these are grindable, u dont need endgame characters to run this on, u can just have a decent character and run these into mid level bosses or bosses that dont have armor pierce shotguns. clearly there is plenty of options for players and if it wasnt perma death then we would have the problem of people only playing high dps builds all the time and no one would ever try to play tank or support

So basically, you have to learn every shot damage, know timings perfectly and bring 2 armors (one of which is event-only) to make this work? Yeah, "busted" for like 3.5 players who can pull it off.

I think for new cshield to be something that most people are actually interested in it would have to have some mechanic to protect you from instantly dying if you use it in the wrong situation. Kind of hard to judge how fast you will get obliterated without trying it first, so something like a short invincibility period if you get low (on a long cooldown) or immunity to armor piercing effects would help it be more mainstream instead of something niche that only the clinically insane players can use.

This damage is wild but to get the most out of it you need to risk a cuirass which is something most players would be hesitant to do. I didn’t care that the old Cshield was OP to a certain extent because it was fun to use. I appreciate how DECA is attempting to balance the game but I would rather the mana consumption be massively increased or something so that it can’t completely abuse phases but can still be used in a rough spot to get out.

Not something I could do, the grind to get these items and the risk seems too great... but man this is still super interesting. I think fun niche things like this are extremely interesting and make the game more unique! So cool to see item abilities and effects work together like this.

risk-reward not worth it. on one side you get: - a lot of damage instantly if done correctly - you look cool but on the other side: - you WILL lose your character and items if you mess up not worth it.

this concept of shaping ur gameplay around the niche aspects of a UT is what I think they should be, but this cshield stuff is just not worth it despite the armor procs, risk is way higher than the reward in this case. Best case of use is limited to midgame dungs, in rare cases for some endgame dungs, like it's spd decrease for moonlight village besides that... yeah DECA basically scuffed themselves by trying to introduce an ability that gave invincibility and then realising it as it became meta and ppl started enjoying it, removing it and now the item has become somewhat unwanted in intentional spite of this nerfs.

Weaving the two invuln armors is absolutely bonkers thinking, I honestly think just using cshield with the MV items is more than enough for it to be considered OP, think about the insanity of having that set on an NPE or your own HPEs, Infinite curse/slow/healing for absolutely free, ALSO worth noting the pink flames explode for 20-40-60 healing each depending on their level after their duration is up, Honestly could provide more consistent healing than a divine pet if you get lucky enough with it

What this showcases isn't so much that Cshield is still strong but rather how overpowered any source of invulnerability is on a character with on-hit effects. If this causes action from deca I'd expect it to be a nerf to Cuirass/Matrix.

I think it's so funny how people are fully willing to throw all balance out the window just for the old cshield, people complaining so much about the games economy being inflated, about powercreep, but the most broken item that trivialized certain endgame boss phases? Thats totally ok and should come back

I stopd playing a while for now, cuz pc broken. But if they remove, the true dmg bullet from mobs/boss. Could be more fun to use this shield, but at this day isnt worth. I mean, i think majority of players play for 3-4hrs a week, to lose a rare item trying to save 5secs boss fight dnt seems to be useful
