It felt like they had a bigger plan for this series then a decision was made to wrap everything up quicker so they just decided to let Rachel "deus ex machina" a solution to Moira, have each X-Man give a nice little poem about why Krakoa was great to them, then be done with it.

Dazzler has more to her power set than I think most people realize.

Feel bad for that Psylocke, as she is on the cusp of watching the entire city built by Moria and Xavier go to shit.

Loved Dead X-Men,it was a great concept.

It's a scheduling thing I don't think they anticipated. If you look at the next few weeks releases, they're all over the place. X-Men Forever has 2 issues coming out 2 weeks apart and then the last one a week later. They're in a rush to get everything out before the relaunch in June/July

I liked this book until I saw this video and realized you were right. Wish comics were just a little smarter but at least I know Dazzler's healing factor scale.

While I don't care for Dead X-men concept, I did like the ending and for me it puts a perspective to Fall of X #4, and Charles's deal with Nimrod/Omega Sentinel, as in the order sequence Dead X-Men 4 comes before Fall of X #4 and the next Rise of X #4. The conversation of the Dead X-Men #4 with Charles's makes me think that his conversation might have altered whatever he planned to do after shooting Rachel Summers. Charles conversation with the Dead X-Men, knowledge of what Moira had that Prodigal absorbed gives a fully picture of Nimrod, Omega Sentinel and the Dominion knew/knows, that by having the mutants alive, they still can save humans and prevent the Dominion getting it all. I hope Krakoa survives for the Rise of X, along with the mutants of Krakoa/Arakko restored but just dispersed for the time being. While the storyline has had its ups and downs, I still find the family of X-men issues to be enough to continue following. The Dominion attempts of being an Multiverse Overlord is so-so, as compared to the Collapse of the Multiverse, the Cancerverse storylines, Kang Wars along with Averagers battles for the future of the multiverses all seem to ignore each other's obsessive desire to be all/end all that, gets a little tedious to worry about the future. I just enjoy their journey.

I get what you mean. I wonder if the way to look at it is that it’s a feeder book. My biggest issue with it would be that 4 issues telling a side story feeding into it is an obvious trope. I’d love it if the big beats were spread out through the narrative to at least make it worth paying attention to the surrounding stories but then the flip of that is that people would complain about the cost of keeping across everything ( which they would do anyway 🤣)

Honestly I feel the same way. Huge build up then we get 10 issues of fluff and 3 of 8 that matter...and....its not even that villan like...sigh. It is too bad. It could have been better is all. Agreed on what you said about it 100.

Did Frenzy do anything significant in this book? I feel like her place in Dead X-Men and Sword are pretty much the same. She's there but not really THERE.

you've discovered one of the reasons i've stopped reading (and buying) these comics. they start off great, but the writers are unable to end the storylines with justice. almost felt like vomiting at the end of x-men red when genesis was taken down by two of storm's lightning bolts, and the two islands were HUGGING each other.🤢

It's just wild mutants still want to stay on earth . Why didn't charles find a planet no where near earth from when he was dating that one space chick that ruled most of space lol. I am human and even I know earth sucks , give me a ticket to a new planet 😂

Man what sucks bout this era ended this books to me show me something. The mutants got to much heart they don’t wanna this era to end. Some of the dialog with dazzler and frenzy touch me the x-villains were really rehabilitating and saw the bigger picture low key fall of x just been kinda emotional left more sad then meh but this book touched me a bit
