Never have I expected to see a world-renowned debate champion like Bo would be able to speak in an Indonesian podcast. Still can't believe the very person who inspired me and many others here in Indonesia to join debate competitions this year after reading his book is sharing his knowledge here with pak gita. His discussions with Pak Gita are enlightening, especially in the context of Asian societies where disagreement is often undervalued or misunderstood. In Indonesia, there's a tendency to disregard the perspectives of others and shy away from healthy debates, leading to a society where many are entrenched in their own views without considering alternative viewpoints. It's such a relief to see popular figures like Bo and Pak Gita bringing to light the essential role of disagreement in our lives. They emphasize how engaging with different opinions is not just about winning arguments but about broadening our horizons and understanding the world better. Thank you for inviting this truly inspirational debater pak Gita 😍

Bo Seo has been my role model and inspiration in the debating world. I've been debating competitively since my first year in university. After watching Bo Seo in the 2016 and 2017 finals of WUDC, I was immersed in his argument, which enlightened me to join the debating club at my university and start debating. The decision I made back then to join debate club turned out unexpected, I won two times national debate tournaments and several times nominated to be the best speakers. Through debating, I earned a skill set to think critically and comprehend why certain people have certain perspectives on particular issues. Also, I learned that the most valuable things about being a debater, as well as being a human, is listening to others and appreciating their thoughts. After four years of debating, what i learned is that no matter what your background, what you believe in, or what your ideology is, as long as you engage in debate using correct etiquette, you will always be heard and it feels like a relief. Thank you so much to Pak Gita for inviting Bo Seo in your podcast.

What an inspiring conversation. Through this, I learned that “debate”, something that we consider as “taboo” in our asian culture is actually a life survival skill. Something that we don’t really talk about here in Indonesia. I believe that more people in Indonesia should learn about debate more formally! Also, it’s so refreshing to see a young and brilliant mind like Bo Seo in Endgame episode. As someone who joined debate for a bit in high school, everyone in debate knows that Bo Seo is for sure a legendary figure if not the most well known one. To see him appearing in Endgame is truly a food for the brain!! Bravo for bringing Bo to your podcast, Pak Gita! Keep inspiring us.

"Good Arguments" by Bo Seo is an intellectual journey that transcends the conventional boundaries of discourse. Seo masterfully weaves through complex topics, offering a refreshing perspective on the art of argumentation. The book not only equips readers with the tools to construct persuasive arguments but also delves into the ethical dimensions of rhetoric. Seo's clarity of thought and engaging writing style make this book accessible to both seasoned debaters and those new to the world of persuasive communication. And thanks to Pak @gita Wirjawan have invited Bo Seo directly to your Podcast to share many insights about Debate Knowledge and Bo Seo professional experience. I think this is an insightful session and everyone has to watch this to add our knowledge especially in the debating world.

I still remember the first time I ever tried debating, I didn't know a single thing about being a PM or what I needed to do, but eventually I was revealed the true beauty of the community. It's been nearly an entire year from then and I can already feel how my life has changed! Bo seo is a real inspiration for all us Indonesians, it's just too bad I missed my one chance to meet him :(

"Democracy means dialogue, debate, discussion".

The conversation explores the challenges of debating, the psychological aspects of defending uncomfortable points, and the role of debate in addressing societal issues, especially in the context of a multipolar world and the impact of technology on public discourse. The strength to debate came from a desire to compensate for a lack of voice and real relationships, shaped by the experience of migration and the racial challenges faced by his family. Bo Seo emphasizes the role of teachers, coaches, and mentors in shaping his debating skills and highlights the transformative power of debates in fostering understanding and engagement.

Watching this interview, it reminded me why i started debate and why i keep driving to do better. Bo Seo's video regarding how to argue was the first ever video i watched regarding debate and it truly was what pushed my passion further. He has been a role model for me especially within debate, this interview truly was inspiring as in Indonesia there is sometimes an incentive and tendency to overlook and put these crucial and enriching debates on hold leading to a society where people always think they are right. Personally debate, Bo seo and my coach has changed my life because it thought me how to think critically and always find a way to talk about different views within the world and why a certain thing happens or why certain groups and people are against a certain idea or action. In summary, due to debate, I learnt more about the world and broaden my horizons to more opinions. Seeing that these popular figures such as Bo Seo and Pak Gita discussing the importance of having disagreements and how it's not always about winning but rather about being open to other's opinions in order to help the world become better. Overall, debate has changed my life and is now a part near and dear to my heart that i cannot and will never remove as it truly is something amazing when people do it. Thank you Pak Gita and Bo Seo for having this conversation and inspiring us all

Such a brilliant podcast. I am thrilled to listen to Bo and Pak Gita's defining the substance of debating. My understanding of debating is "EXCHANGES THOUGHTS AND KNOWLEDGE", respecting other people's thoughts with their great knowledge. A great debater is being able to: Agree to disagree. Acknowleding the opponent's point of views, without having to agree. Thank you for this wonderful "theme" of podcast, truly enjoyable to listen. Where at the moment I am a bit sick of the political arguments, that is going on now, that don't teach us anything, only showing each candidate's ego. Sad.....
