My problem with Khamzat is he doesn't have ANY title, his last 2 fights were with guys on super short notice, his last fight with a prepared guy (Burns) went the distance and could have gone both ways, and he is "calling out" a 2-division champ in 2 different sports. There is something called Respect.

Kumshot is just an insecure scared man. He's scared about NOT being the scariest guy in the room. This is something I've noticed with him through the years. I also know that he wants no part of Strickland knowing that Strickland is an animal and a bad match up for him. He just calling out Alex knowing that he will never fight him just to stay relevant while he fights 1 fight every 2 years because he can't travel and has personal issues. He basically lost this power after the burns fight, then he got scared of Nate Diaz and couldn't make weight, then he loses to usman who just got off the couch. Kumshot is done and he will never become a champion in any division. I've said this since the start because I see who he is and it's not championship material.

Khamzat has shown that his tank doesn't hold alot of gas.I think Alex is many levels above anything he has ever faced. Khamzat simply would be outclassed and embarrassed by Alex if they were to fight anytime this year or the next

In fairness, there is some heat there between Chimaev & Pereira. Chimaev has wanted to fight Alex immediately after defeating Izzy. Alex had agreed to fight Chimaev at 205, w/ no belt on the line, but Chimaev wasn’t interested then. If Chimaev can’t take down Alex, I think it’ll be a short night for him. Two close fights against Welterweights gives me little confidence in Chimaev’s ability to fight at 205

Chimaev needs to remain active! The title shot I think was contingent on getting Usman outta there in impressive fashion, which didn't happen. Now it's weird to make him skip the line. I started watching UFC when Chuck Liddell was the man! Light heavyweight 205lb has always been the big draw the money making weight class. They need to work on getting the light heavyweight class stacked again.

When Pereira beat Adesanya Chimaev called out Periera and Pereira replied that he would fight Chimaev at light heavyweight. I'm suprised everyone has forgotten about this interaction. I guess Chimaev thinks that Pereira is still an easy opponent and now he has a belt, it's an easy way for Chimaev to become a UFC champion. Here's what is really important. Chimaev made one post and literally everyone is talking about it. To pretend like any fight with Chimaev won't be a superfight is nonsense. Chimaev vs Periera will be much bigger than Pereira vs Adesanya III or Pereira vs Hill. The more people say Chimaev doesn't deserve the fight, the more people will tune in just to watch Chimaev lose. and that's exactly what the UFC wants.

In my opinion Khamzat would be making a genius move in fighting Pereira, because Alex is super popular, people think he’s this walking embodiment of MMA destruction, but Alex can’t wrestle to save his life and if Khamzat fights Alex he gets a layup wrestling match with a guy who’s been champ across 2 divisions (after being his divisions former champ) before the man learns how to grapple. We already know Khamzat has to fight heavier guys in the gym just to get a workout so he’ll be used to guys Alex’s size. So, IMO Khamzat would boost his name a great deal and risk relatively little in the process, if he looses he can fall back on “not being ready,” but if he wins he will likely have done it while looking like a monster among monsters
