This is one of the cleanest 172s I've seen, in real life or online, not to mention that hangar floor!

I'm adding to my previous comment. I gather from looking at your airplane that it was refurbished not long ago. I see fresh paint, avionics, interior, and VGs on the wings. I like that dark color headliner, in particular. Why did you choose to keep the conventional six-pack in the panel? Do you find it preferable for basic training? I used to be an instructor and, of course, “steam v. glass” is an old debate. I mention all this because I learned to fly, and have taught, on airplanes that showed their age and suffered at least aesthetic neglect. Yours strikes me as a refreshing departure from that trend. I imagine both your aircraft and hangar inspire confidence in your students. Even looking at it from a distance, I think it would have that effect on me. If you have a video or are inspired to create one, I'd be interested in the details of the work that was done to refresh the airplane.

Thanks for your comments (and compliments). We refurbished this plane 2 years. Complete strip and paint and new windows. Basically went through the entire airplane replacing anything in question. All the interior was removed, new insulation, new painted or upholstered panels, new seat cushions and covering, and flooring. All new Garmin avionics and new metal instrument panel, new switches, circuit breakers, etc. I later replaced all the factory engine gauges with two new Electronics International CGR30 monitors. Last thing on the “hope to do list” is replace the 6 pack with solid state electronics. Held off on it due to cost but did have all the 6 pack gauges refurbished with fresh paint and glass. Hopefully I can do a video as you suggest someday. Thanks for watching!

Hey thank you! My floor is actually a polyaspartic. It is similar to an epoxy.

Can 't a glass cockpit fail also?

Absolutely. However, a brand new electronic gauge with all new wiring has far more chances of being reliable than 40-50 year old mechanical gauges. Personally, I love the nostalgic look of the old gauges, but operationally I'm glad we were able to upgrade! Thanks for watching and thank you for your comments Kris.
