Hey everybody! Welcome to the next commentary. Today we are playing some Ahri midlane versus Qiyana. Uhh, surprisingly Ahri got buffed. I didn't think that she needed it and they buffed her AP ratio on her Q. So, 1.0. Used to be, I think 90%. So not-not bad of a buff.

6:50 just wanted to mention that Ahri with those items already oneshot casters with Q pre-buff. The biggest difference for her waveclear is that she now oneshots with just Dring, lost chapter and double ADP runes at level 7, she previously didn't do that.

She can now one shot at level 5 btw if you take demat and use all 3 on the caster, plus hextech alt and aether for lich first item

Glad you're liking this build, I find it so much fun. Constant ult uptime and weaving in lichbane autos is so rewarding, haven't enjoyed ahri like this in YEARS

As an Ahri main, I say the buff was needed. Some champions can easily kill you with 1 item. The W spell after the first hit does reduced damage the charm no longer have the incressed damage buff and R it's more a dash because it does low damage in the early game. It's not a powerful buff but it's there.

as someone who has played her for a while, she did need something xD she is safe into everything, but she has no agency into anything xD lich bane needs to be addressed before too many champs become dependent on it tbh.

This video just reminded me that I wanted to try the old style ahri battle mage now that mythics are gone. I think something like ROA into malignance into riftmaker would be nice, then you can just go DC and lich or rylai. Rift can probably be swapped out for liandry's when you're against a tank team.

when i began the game in s11, i played lots of ahri. Back then, even as a new player, i comlained that her ap ratios sucked so i eventually dropped her. Her Q-ratio back then was 70% total. Its now 100%.

It's the distance from the wave. Qiyana is far enough from the minions that the w/autos that would normally draw aggro doesn't do it. If she stepped up closer they would aggro

How are you seeing an attack range indicator every auto attack?

There's a setting in game: Interface -> Ability and Attack Display -> Show Attack Range Enable that and use A-move to see your AA range.

Ok I knew something was up I'm like there has to be a reason why I have won 4 games in a row on Ahri while the second I play anything else my winrate drops (including Akali I got destroyed on her)...my Veigar is the only thing that has a reasonable winrate besides Ahri at 50 percent and Taric everything else has a 20 percent Winrate for me now because I don't understand all the changes. Not that this hurts because I like Ahri a lot its just...being overly dependent on one champion for any kind of decent Winrate I find is uncomfortable for me.

It's placebo buff tho. It is 10 more damage per every 100 ap. In two rotations around max ap (~800 (considering no gathering or 3 120ap items)) you are getting 160 extra damage from TWO uses of the spell or if you hit a minimum of two people with both parts. Most significant part is probably that it's easier to have the ap to clear casters with lvl 7 q now lol

Ain't going to lie, as an Arhi player this buff was needed. I was tired to play like a mosquitoe beeing hard to catch but doing close to nothing. I didn't like beeing force to play supp or ad because I would struggle farming with my Q when it's supposed to be as easy as any other mage farming tool... She needed damage to be the hard to catch assassin she was before all of her nerfs. Now people will finally respect her, she has tools to carry and i'm happy with it. Like, she was so bad people were playing frozen to add more cc, like wtf ? Now rushing luden first item feels GOOD, you one shot the range minion with a single q, and it feels good to be able to farm comfortably.

League players are such drama queens. "Top lane gifted her a kill now my lane is DOOMED DOOMED, all is lost. I don't even care about my lane anymore." *Immediately kills her.* Also when you said there was zero outplay potential, the correct option was to go toward the other wall. In order for her to get an angle to hit you against that wall she would have had to taken a tower shot, which would have been a 1 for 1 trade.
