Did you know this in Hazbin Hotel?
In episode 8 we see sir pentious sacrifice himself and end up redeemed in heaven. On the surface it seems that his sacrifice is why he got redeemed, but it’s actually deeper than that.
In episode 2 we see sir pentious apologise to alastor, and sing the sorry song with charlie. One of the first ways to get redeemed is to seek forgiveness.
Throughout the season we see sir pentious try to confess his feelings to cherri. Eventually in episode 8 he confesses, and the two kiss. The opposite of pride is humility. Sir pentious was humble and confessed his feelings, which is why he has love hearts in his angel form.
And lastly we saw sir pentious sacrifice himself to protect his friends. His arc from villain to hero is extremely compelling and is the final puzzle piece that granted him access to heaven.
Vivzie has said that season 2 will discuss sir pentious’s lore and how he ended up in hell in the first place. So perhaps we’ll see his backstory as a human, with the main cast trying to replicate sir pentious’s steps to help more sinners get redeemed.

the show is being written by Viv, someone who heavily follows the writings in the lesser key of Solomon and by extension the ars goetia. in such writings its described that hell is a self imposed punishment. that a mortal soul will subconsciously punish itself for its misdeed based on the regrets it had in life. the show lucifer heavily explores this, and it seems that the direction for hazbin as well, because when Adam no diffed pentious, he died a second times, this time, without regrets

Also apart war in England there was a time when people eat mummies from Egypt (it is kinda interesting story) and their clothes are from the same period! As for eating person who agreed I think its not a sin, eating already dead person - depend. If you eat in normal cases is just dissrespectful for corpse which is a sin and even breaking law BUT eating dead person for example because you have airplane crash in wild is accetable (It happened several times in real life even!)

@Space0fox the problem is eating a corpse is an act of defiling their corpse, therefore not allowing their family the ability to have an open casket ect, there's a lot wrong with just eating a dead body and sadly even if you yourself consent to it, it is indeed still illegal. Sinners being redeamable means that she's in deep shit for authorizing the exterminations in Hell and it would be very believable for her to try to protect herself from consequences. I could see her locking away both Sir Pentious and Emily in order to hide this news.

I read a theory somewhere that Pentious was redeemed because he was the only member of the cast to actually stay at the Hotel of his own volition and work towards redemption. Charlie is Hellborn, Vaggie is only there for Charlie, Alastor is there for entertainment, (among other reasons.) Angel is there for the free room and board, and Husk and Nifty were summoned there by Alastor.

We should also note that he met all of Adam's criteria. He was selfless when he sacrificed himself, he never once stole instead buying stuff from Carmine, and he stuck it to the man, in this case being Adam.

So for what I'm understanding from this video these are the three Keys that helped Sir. Pentiuse gets redeemed: - #1. "Seaking Forgiveness": when he begged Charlie for forgiveness for the betrayal he did. - #2. "Showing Humility": finally being honest and humbled to his heart and confessed his feelings to cherry before his final moments. - #3. "Great Sacrifice": when he gave his life trying to protect the hotel and his friends from Adam. So the three Keys are "Forgiveness", "Humility", and "Sacrifice" to finally be granted true forgiveness for his sins and go to heaven.

Forgiveness, Humility, and Selflessness may be the real tasks to be redeemed. I wonder if the others will do the same or will there be a longer list of ways to be redeemed. Also can't wait to see if a redeemed sinners body connects to what they were redeemed for, it would make sense and leave open opportunities for how they design redeemed forms for other sinners. Really excited for season 2!

What makes his character interesting, is that he wasn’t pure evil, it was because he wanted to be recognized as a powerful demon. No matter what he did, he always failed. When he accepted his defeat when he was caught, Charlie gave Pentious the one thing no one else did, a chance. Seeing his character grow was an amazing set of storytelling, and I’m glad he was able to be redeemed. Can’t wait for season 2. 😀👍

Charlie and Pentious friendship is really wholesome. It makes sense for him as well to go to her. After all his redemption began with her smiling at him and holding her hand out. He tears up at several times at her words or during her song with lucifer, genuinly caring for her happiness and out of all his friends from the hotel charlie is the most devastated after his death.

He practiced humility by telling Cherri he thought she was an amazing inventor. He practiced temperance by showing affection to his egg bois instead of lashing out. He showed the opposite of gluttony by giving up of his indulgence of his destructive hobby, building weapons. He wasnt greedy for the things he didnt have, alsp bought drinks for everyone. He didnt lust after Cherri and genuinely wanted her love. He wasnt envious of other powerful inventors. He was always active and never slacking, trying his best

Sir serpentious is a good guy, just look how honest he is when he gave sorry to charlie, also how he acts i really think that he isn't in hell at the first place. I just finished watching that episode and i want to say i really like it he is a good snake boi.
