Why did the Jews of Paul’s day reject his claim about Jesus being the promised messiah?

I read from 'The Triumph of Christianity: How a Forbidden Religion Swept the World' by Bart D. Ehrman www.amazon.co.uk/Triumph-Chri...
Throughout history, when Christians have pointed to “predictions of Jesus” in the Old Testament, Jews have denied the passages involve messianic prophecies. Christians have long maintained, for example, that the ancient prophet Isaiah was looking ahead to Jesus when he declared, centuries before the crucifixion: “He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace was upon him, and by his wounds we were healed” (Isaiah 53: 5-6). In response, Jewish readers have pointed out that Isaiah never indicates he is referring to a messiah figure. On the contrary he speaks of someone who has ALREADY suffered, and he does not call that one the messiah. More than that, earlier in his account he explicitly indicates who this “suffering servant of the Lord” is. It is the nation of Israel itself, which has suffered because of the sins of the people (see Isaiah 49:3).

Jesus said and foretold as COMMANDED BY THE ONLY TRUE GOD-THE FATHER: BY THE FRUITS YE SHALL KNOW THEM Radical Monotheism exactly like the Jewish Prophets/ Jews to believe in a uniquely ONE GOD-without any partners or equal or like a three in a one falsehood called the doctrine of the Trinity -plus believing in the Messiah Jesus sent by God, and the essential consistency with his doctorine - the Muslim. The very words that the Father-the only true God Commanded Jesus Christ to say. The doctorine of THE ONLY TRUE GOD that HE COMMANDED Jesus Christ to give. The testimony of Jesus Christ the Father: - The only True God (John 17:3) - The only one who knows the Hour (Mark 13:32) - Greater than I ( John 14:28) - Greater than all ( John 10:29) -My God and Your God ( John 20:17) The doctorine of Jesus Christ = The doctorine of a Muslim (Of course the term Father in the Jewish context. A figure of speech for their times. Not that God has a literal son. God has got Son by the Ton in the Bible) Defenders of the true honor and status of Jesus Christ against lies and abominations which includes the crucifixion. Christianity more like the Greek and Roman doctorines and pagan doctorines like " God" coming down in human form and human/blood sacrifices that pagan had going hand in hand with Paul's doctorines of easy fake salvation with blood of an innocent, making the Merciful God into a blood thirsty vampire. The same people making Jesus Christ UNRIGHTEOUS by their position ( believing in the fiction called crucifixion) and making the Father a treacherous back stabber by their position and doctorine. Christianity actually the followers of Paul. 2000 years ago, the Roman and Greek Empire with its culture and Mythological and pagan roots already hold the beliefs such as " God coming down in human form" so after witnessing just a single "miracle" from Paul the deceiver they were conforming to their already held beliefs. No wonder when they heard this guy Jesus with all the stories of his miracles, it was easy for them to take him as a "Son of God" (and this concept later on developed into taking him as a God) as this already went hand in hand with their pagan and Mythological belief system. Little wonder that those times and places and people also had "Triads" and ancient " Trinities" and "God" in three and stuff. Act 14:11 When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language, THE GODS HAVE COME DOWN to us IN HUMAN FORM!" ******** Then of course the abomination of the alleged human "sacrifice" of Jesus Christ making the most merciful into some human blood thirsty Vampire. Going against the very teachings of the true Prophets and that includes Jesus Christ. ******** Unfortunately, it was the Pauline Christianity and Pauline falsehoods, blended with pagan doctorine and backed up by the powerful Empire that eventually won out over the years and wiped out the Jewish movement radical monotheism.

Arabic is older than Hebrew by the way they both supposedly descend from “protosemetic” and if you look up the protosemetic you’ll find that hebrew only has 22 phonemes while Arabic has 28 out of the original 29, if not all the 29. The same same goes for Aramaic, infact the same shockingly goes for Akkadian which also has fewer and less complex verbal morphology than Classical Arabic. The reason why hebrew Eloh (Elohim) and Syriac Alaha are similar to the Arabic word isn’t because they’re related language, but rather that they are pidgined simplified Arabic where the phoenomes became mumbled up into a simplified language, much in the same way in the Maghreb they soften the alef with a yeh and drop it (sehel instead of sahel for example). This is a complex topic and really came as a surprise to me as I always thought Hebrew was older. But there’s so much in it to be said and not using fringe theories, but rather actual published studies that I’m thinking about making a KZfaq channel to educate people about this. With the introduction of orientalism in the west they too thought like I did that Hebrew was older in the 1600s but later near the end of the1800s once Akkadian and other languages like ugaritic were translated they realized Arabic is much much older, even old during antiquity.

im not sure that the conclusion of the evidence is sound. This wouldnt necessarily tell you hebrew was a newer language. The idea of a protosemitic language which predates hebrew is a hypothesis, and i cant see any evidence, when in fact it may be the other way round, and this would be the tower of babel based idea, that hebrew was first and then the other languages are distortions, and that would even include more phoneemes. As a supporting concept for this, i would say that hebrew has the minimum number of phonemes necessary to make any sound, and other phonemes can actually be created from these base phonemes. I am assuming the more authentic propnouciation of the bablylonain (iraqi) jews where all 22 letter have their own unqiue sound. Would be interested to know if there is a stronger more direct basis for your theory of the ordering of the evolution of these languages.

Salaam Paul ! How ya doing bro ? You mentioned Isaiah so I assume you refer to verse 53 which a lot of Christians use to 'prove' that Jesus' coming (PBUH) was prophecied. The only downside is that there are some irregularities in the prophecy. So if we are going to look at Isaiah 53, wouldn't it make sense to look at the whole chapter, instead of picking certain verses? Of course, what some people don't know is that the chapter actually begins as a part of Chapter 52, and it offers some interesting details about this "suffering servant": 14. As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: When was Jesus' "...visage so marred more than any man"? Continuing into Chapter 53: 2. For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. Since when did Jesus (pbuh) have "no form [or] comeliness"? He had the form of a human, did he not? 3. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Since when was Jesus "despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows..."? Jesus is one of the most beloved men in history, alongside Moses and Muhammad (Peace be upon them both). When did people hide their faces from him? Even during his life, he was beloved by many people. 7. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. When did Jesus not say anything during his oppression? The Gospels tell us that he had a lot to say during his trial and subsequent "execution". 9. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Since when was Jesus (pbuh) buried with the "wicked". According to the Gospels, he was buried in an empty tomb. Conclusion: Looking at the chapter in context, we can be reasonably sure that it was not referring to Jesus (PBUH). We can't really say who this chapter is referring to, if anyone at all. It was certainly not Muhammad (SAW) in this case. If we listen to the Jews, the "suffering servant" is the nation of Israel. It is also possible that it is referring to an known historical figure centuries before Jesus (PBUH). But what is clear is that it is certainly not referring to Jesus (PBUH). ~ The research is not done by me but by someone else. I checked the authenticity and it is alright. Because you mentioned Isaiah I thought this comment would fit in. I also see that your subs are increasing day by day mashallah ! Keep up the good work brother Paul ! If it were not for Covid I would have loved to drink a cup of tea with you !

@@nostradamus522 The satan deals with lies, and the only way to avoid lies is by rational balanced analysis. In this case we need to see if he actually fulfils the prophecies or are people saying well that doesnt matter so much...WAIT that is where you see the lie. If he would have fulfilled the prophecies then im sure you would be saying "we need to be objective and see if he did indeed fulfil the prophecies" and then you would proudly present the messianic prophecies and lo and behold he fulfilled them. In that case i would also believe. However now you are moving the goalposts away from an objective standard and are just dogmatically stating the truth without the necessary evidence. The messiah is only identified if he fulfils the prophecies and jesus hasnt, end of story for objective thinkers. Btw this is a problem with islam as well as they consider jesus a prophet when according to this if anything he is a false prophet, which kind of messes up islams claim to authenticity. @@nostradamus522 So you believe in ALL the religions then according to your logic? God tests man to see if he is honest and follows his mind objectively or if he gets swayed by his heart. I would say this is judaism as this is the ONLY religion which claims God spoke openly to a group of people, even more so as here it was a nation of millions. No other religion claims this and the best they can do is what chrstianity islam and bahai (and a few others) do, which is agree with the jewish narrative but then say God "changed his mind" or something along those lines.

To @ConsideringPhlebas Romans 3:7: ‘If through my lies God’s truth abounds to His glory, why am I still being condemned as a sinner? Yes, you are right Paul is not admitting He's a liar, rather he is CONFESSING he is a LIAR. Paul. This is the Christian understanding that once a Christian confesses their sin they become sinless because Jesus already paid for their sin. People knew that Paul lied so they were condemning him as a sinner. And Paul confesses that yes he lied. The Verses that @anthony Sabastian produced are the proof of his lying.

@@Toronado2 Stop lying. Literally in the very next verse (verse 8) he calls people like you on your slander: "And why not do evil that good may come?-as some people slanderously charge us with saying." He is precisely opposing the idea that people should do evil or lie in order that good or truth may be made manifest. He raises the hypothetical of lying, "if through my ***lie*** God’s ***truth*** abounds," as another example of doing evil so the goodness of God may be manifested by it. But he's precisely saying people SHOULDN'T do that. The hilarious thing is that YOU'RE the liars here, completely distorting what he's saying while slanderously accusing St. Paul of being the liar!

To @ConsideringPhlebas According to the LITTERAL translation; The YLT Bible Rom 3:7 for if the truth of God in my falsehood did more abound to His glory, why yet am I also as a sinner judged? Rom 3:8 and not, as we are evil spoken of, and as certain affirm us to say -- 'We may do the evil things, that the good ones may come?' whose judgment is righteous. As you can see that Paul is saying that people are speaking evil of them (Paul and those with him) AND "as certain affirm" us to say. What are they affirming? An affirmation is something that is attested to. So Paul is saying that people are saying something that was attested to. What was that? That was "We may do the evil things, that the good ones may come". But then Paul is appealing to the idea of "whose judgement is Just". Meaning the people are judging them falsely because ultimately God's Judgement overrules them. But Paul does not Deny the charges. He is just saying that He is Justified in his method of Lying for God.

Although the trinity is not mentioned in the old testament, the word Elohim is used many times, over 2000 times in the OT. Elohim is plural! Then God said, "Let us make humankind in OUR image, according to OUR likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth" (Genesis 1:26).

ISAIAH 51 " Awake, awake, arm of the Lord, clothe yourself with strength! Awake, as in days gone by, as in generations of old. Was it not you who cut Rahab to pieces, who pierced that monster through? 10 Was it not you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, who made a road in the depths of the sea so that the redeemed might cross over? ... The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing. " NOTE GUYS: Zion is who? who in the extract is referred to in the feminine?

ISAIAH 53 (i have inserted the entire surah- i couldn't leave out anything) " Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? 2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. 4 Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. 8 By oppression[a] and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished.[b] 9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes[c] his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand. 11 After he has suffered, he will see the light of life[d] and be satisfied[e]; by his knowledge[f] my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,[g] and he will divide the spoils with the strong,[h] because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. " NOTE GUYS: For me at least, nothing in this strikes me as remotely referencing Israel the nation over and above the Jew known as Yeshua of roughly 2 BC - 31 AD. They however are remarkably close to describing the New Testament Jesus. As to why Paul would choose a chapter in Isaiah to reinforce his Jesus narrative as Paul (the video guy) and others assert is pretty reaching. Apostle Paul would have chosen the worst narrative for a messiah to invent his Saviour for Christianity. We who think we know 1st century to thirtieth century judaism could never compare to the knowledge of a 30th century Jew like Paul. It is reasonable to conclude that to invent a religion as one of the commentators says a Jew would go for a champion, uncrucified Saviour. And therefore choose scripture verses accordingly. To go against the grain implies some really landmark moment of 'bidah' as Paul the video guys calls it. But also to be able to back it up with manifold scriptures is not a ~reasonable~ conclusion in my view. This so when taken in light of all the evidence provided from that time. As a result, I REJECT the notion Paul(video guy) that Paul the Apostle invented a religion with Yeshua as the cornerstone. I also reject the notion that Jews just happened to reject Paul's preaching while just happening to reject the eye witnesses teachings on the same matter. It is PATENTLY ABSURD to accept this narrative being spun if i am to look at the evidence adduced by Paul the video guy himself. Ehrman is an expert witness for our times you might say. He can't however be an expert witness above that of the Old Testament writings or New Testament writings or that of the Church Fathers. That would be folly to regard him above the writings of the many witnesses hostile and friendly of that era.

The last one is useful in showing this "He who kill a soul is as he kill all mankind, He who save a soul is as he save all mankind." Why then did Muhammed kill? Hence he did not live according to the fullness of his words. Also you say elah was derived from allah. This is so wrong as to make me not interested in continuing this thread. "Aramaic is the oldest continuously spoken and written language in the Middle East, even older than written Hebrew and Arabic." You have sent quite a bit but it makes no sense trying to disprove such obviously false statements. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors." The being numbered with the transgressors and made intercession should be obvious to all who know the crucifixion story. He was put in a lot of transgressors amongst whom Jews were to make a choice as to who should go free. He hung between two theives. Intercession was made when he said forgive them because they did not know what they were doing in crucifying him. Now it is strange you asking this because it seems so clear the connection if even in part. While i do have an answer for the first lines i am confident that is not for you now to grapple with as you are not born-again. Here’s another question to ask: Since Paul never met Jesus, and merely claimed to have a “vision” of him... But Christians fully accept this claim. Joseph smith, the founder of Mormonism, also (obviously) never met Jesus, and merely claimed to have a “vision”... Since neither man ever met Jesus, and both made a claim of a vision, why do Christians accept Paul but deny Joseph smith? Paul was not known to be a person of upright character beforehand, and his initials spread of his account was geographically pushed in a different direction than those who knew more of Jesus.

I have mentioned this before but its worth repeating. The scriptures (Torah, etc) were read allegorically in the first century by both Jews and Christians. The hermeneutic was radically different from historical-critical method. Paul and the other early Christian writers knew that on the literal level of course the text doesn't refer to Jesus. This is why Paul says "the letter kills" (the actual Greek is better translated as "the scripture kills"). Paul himself only came to believe in Jesus because of his experience on the road to Damascus (it wasn't because of the literal scripture). I have not heard you address the hermeneutic question yet.

This is a great analysis. There is another part of it. When looking through Jewish historical accounts from the time in Hebrew and Aramaic one doesn't find any evidence to who Paul or even that such an individual was even known in Jewish circles. It is most likely that the author of acts made up the idea of Paul going around in Jewish cirlces. The same is even true of the eventst he gospels claim about Jesus. If one were to look for the individual Jews that the New Testament claims that Jesus interacted with one finds no evidence, from the Jewish communities Judea and the Galilee, that anyone made any accounts towards most of the events mentioned in the New Testament. Thus, the bigger issue is that there no evidence from Jewish sources in Hebrew and Aramaic that the early Jewish Christians were that widely making meaningful arguements from the Hebrew Tanakh for their claims. What does exist, from Jesus sources, simply points to a small cult that started and then burned out within two generations only to have some of their ideas picked up within the non-Jewish Roman world.

ISAIAH 52 "See, my servant will act wisely[b]; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted. 14 Just as there were many who were appalled at him[c]- his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness- 15 so he will sprinkle many nations,[d] and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand. " NOTE GUYS: While i am a christian this imagery is way to eerily similar to the description of Jesus. If anyone can show how this 'servant being Israel' in the times before Christ or after was raised and lifted up and highly exalted? Logically, it makes no sense!! There is no history I have found that shows Jerusalem highly lifted up and yet still marred, and sprinkling nations, and shutting the mouth of kings.

Isaiah 9-6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 7-14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Zechariah 9-9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

So it clearly contradicts the christian concept of messiah but not the islamic messiah. So it would be interesting to know the similarities.

Christians who do claim that the Messiah is described as God incarnate in the Old Testament refer to Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

According to Judaism, the Torah was the blueprint that God used to construct His universe, His sacred Word that guided and shaped the lives of millions of penitent Jews including Moses, David, Mary and Jesus. St. John records Christ saying: “I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love” (John 15:10). Christians believe, however, that this great Law of God was suddenly superseded and deemed unnecessary on account of a dream of Peter, a man who denied knowing Jesus three times, and a vision of Paul, a man who tortured and killed many of the true followers of Jesus. Both of these gentlemen are shady characters, at best, yet their word is weightier in Christian eyes than the words of Christ and all of his prophetic predecessors! Concerning the Torah, the Qur’an tells us of its relation to the Gospel of Jesus: “And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: ‘O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me…’” (Qur’an 61:6).

Greetings, Sir. FYI.....I am a Jewish man who was baptized many years ago as an adult, into a conservative Lutheran body. Contemplating Islam deeply at this time. Two things remain unanswered for me at this time, and I suspect you could offer proper responses; I'd be eternally grateful for your input. 1) Muslims believe in accordance with the Quran and Hadith, that Isa is the Messiah.....but in what manner is he said to have achieved that status? We know he didn't satisfy the OT expectations and we know the Christian explanation is baseless. What was his role and accomplishments such that Islam can still call him Messiah? And 2) is there a logical explanation why Allah would permit the contemporaries of Isa as well as the following generations to believe he was crucified and resurrected, when the result is centuries of wrong belief until the seal of the Prophets received the final revelation? Why were countless people for six centuries turned over to wrong understanding of God and Salvation? If it's preferable to discuss via email, please of course let me know. Having a correct understanding of the Devine, and following His stipulated religion for mankind, is the single most important aspect of my life. Thank you in advance, and may God continue to shine his countenance upon you.

I wish I could help with the Quran but in humility I'll quote Padre Pio who said "To fail in charity is to wound God in the pupils of His eyes." Makes me wonder if he had an Arab somewhere in his pedigree. I think you'll find the best of the best in all 3 religions have ALMOST everything in common. Perhaps when we stop wounding God's eyes, God will spill the beans on the rest. Maybe that's what's He's waiting for.

@@allanwilliams2079 The NT came AFTER the Torah and Psalms. We Muslims claim that the Qur'an came AFTER the Bible(Injil). Prophet Muhammad was taught by God about Adam,Abraham, Jacob,Israelites, Moses, Jesus,End Times,Judgement Days,Heaven,Hell, etc. So,who are these Christians telling that the Prophet Muhammad CANNOT speak about all the above, who are these Christians making such a claim, and on what or whose authority are they doing so? As much as Christians have claim about the God of Adam/Abraham and His prophets(many thousands of years before Jesus),the Muslims have the claim about the God of Adam/Abraham. After all, there is only ONE God in the Universe. The Jews claim sole right to the God of Abraham and they avoid Jesus. The Muslims/Prophet Muhammad came 500 years AFTER Jesus,ACCEPTED Jesus as a prophet of God. Qur'an 4:47 says,"Oh,People of the Book(Jews,Christians),accept the Qur'an as this recognises(validates) your Scriptures(Psalms,Torah,Bible)". That's why Islam accepts Jesus as a Prophet of God. The Jews claim the Torah as the complete sealed book and waiting for a NEW Messiah. The Christians claim the Bible as the complete sealed book and waiting for Jesus' second coming,to fight anti-Christ,and establish Kingdom of God. The Muslims claim the Qur'an as the complete sealed book and also waiting for Jesus' return to fight anti-Christ(Dajjal) before the End Times! All these 3 faiths believe in the God of Adam/Abraham and the various prophets. The God of Adam/Abraham and His prophets are NOT the property of the Jews or Christians or Muslims. 2 messiah's of Isaiah 53 hidden in plain site Isaiah 53/1 Who has put faith in our report and to whom is the arm of Yahweh revealed? 2 for he will grow up before Him like a sapling and like a tender plant out of a dry ground; he has no form or majesty that we should look at him, nothing in appearance that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised and we did not esteem him. 4 Surely he himself has taken the burden of our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet we esteem him as plagued, struck by Elohim and abased. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement that procured our shalom was on him and by his fatal wounds we are healed. 6 We all like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, each one, to his own way, and Yahweh has laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was brought like a lamb to the slaughter and like a sheep before her shearers is dumb so he does not open his mouth. 8 He was taken away by constraint and by judgement and who will declare his generated word? For he was cut off, out of the land of the living; for the transgression of My people he was struck, 9 and his grave was assigned with criminals and with a rich man in his death because he had committed no violence, nor was there guile in his mouth. 10 Yet Yahweh purposed to bruise him; He has put him to grief; when You will make his life an offering for violation First messiah up above who died and was raised and now on the right hand of the Father, no guile in him he will see his seed(descendant); he will prolong his days and the purpose of Yahweh will prosper in his hands. 11 He will see the travail of his life; he will be satisfied; by his knowledge My righteous servant will justify many, for he will bear their iniquities. Jesus was given all power and authority by God so the purpose of Yahweh will prosper in his hands as he sees his seed and sees the travail of his descendant's life. 12 Therefore I will assign him with the mighty and he will divide the plunder with the strong, because he has poured out his life to death and he was numbered with the transgressors and he bore the violation of many and made intercession for transgressors. Jesus never violated so could not be numbered with the transgressors as his descendant is numbered with the transgressors. Just like you you see the overcomer in book of revelation receive the iron sceptre and granted to sit on throne, the one who is the two witnesses who is a witness of Jesus and Jesus is his other witness. Hebrews 9 states Jesus is mediator of second covenant but only confirmed first covenant. Moses was also a mediator of a covenant, the first covenant and not even the first covenant was confirmed without blood, a covenant has no power until it is confirmed so we are under the first covenant until second covenant is confirmed We know this because God doesn't change so of course that means confirmation of second covenant is needed and it only appointed once for man to die so it won't be Jesus thats all in Hebrews 9.

It's clear that there was not one monolithic strand in Judaism at the time of Jesus. It is also clear that there wasn't a universal rejection of Paul's message in the Jewish communities around the Roman Empire. Paul's methodology was to begin by preaching in the synagogues - he was a Pharisee after all, and then when rejected by some, to build the new community outside the established synagogues. Paul's method of explaining the scriptures and who Jesus was, was in line with his deep Jewish learning. So: this is a superficial reading of what was going on at the time, and a superficial approach to reading the Old Testament. After all it was the scripture of the early church before New Testament was written. It is clear that there were tensions between the Jewish christians and Gentile Christians - but before that Gentile expansion, the church was and remained foundationally Jewish - a movement within Judaism.

Qu'ran often criticizes Jews for rejecting God's signs. It is absolutely understandable that If a man claims/said to be a God/part of trinity, Jews would logically reject that man to be a messiah. But as per Qur'anic teachings, it is apparent that they rejected the historical Jesus (pbuh) despite all the signs and miracles that was given to him.
