this video is mainly explaining why we chose to downgrade to a small baler and talk a bit about organic farming . #organicfarming #2024 #NewHolland265

Looks nice but surprised you are stepping away from JD but you have to do what's best for you. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed week Eric.

Hey there Eric.... Looking Good... Yep often times changing the operation up is often required to accommodate the markets in the surrounding areas... One question tho... Was an In-Line Baler not a good fit for your New Baling Operation with the New Markets your going to start getting involved with, when switching from large square bales to the small bales??? Keep up the Good Work my Friend... Hope All of Your Family is doing Very Well... Andy....Southeast Missouri...

Success is dictated by knowing your market & supplying the needs of customers.

Small squares are what sell for me too. My straw goes to a local hardware store, and they sell every bit of it, even though they charge a really high price. Hay goes to horse stables (except my clover, which my friend Cory buys).

@@TheFarmingLife Good morning from the western end of the state. Spring is going well so far. I'm very old school and moldboard plow everything and am almost done with that.

Nice baler, my uncle has a 273 no thrower tho. When grandpa had the dairy we had a 268 with a thrower, the 268 dad bought doesn’t

When we ceased Row cropping Peanuts and Cotton, 6 years ago , the first year only 4x5 rounds, Then we were app- roached by a Farmer that had a commercial Re-baling operation with Tractor Supply Contracts that wanted to stop.... We bought him out, included were a Simpson un -roller tables, a N H 5070 baler, 200 Bale Bandit, steel ramp, and several enclosed trailers, and 2 TSC contracts........ As of today We swapped out the 5070 for an 1840 Hesston, a Baron for the Bandit, Sold, swapped or bought up to 8 53ft enclosed Trailers, built 5 -120x60x22 eve height steel sheds, Were contracted by TSC corporate to supply 4 more stores, with small squares Last year we supplied close to 50,000 small squares converted from 4x5 rounds... Yes Change and adaptability have been Good!

some large square presses, with their double knotters, can make bales with small sections. I see many prefer small square balers.

Will you store this baled hay and straw on your farm or shift it off the field? I was not aware that you had spare on-farm storage facilities. Dan.
@TheFarmingLife3 ай бұрын
Yes we will store this straw and alfalfa on the farm until winter time for sale

You could use a bale drag and then a bobcat with a bale grapple. Throwing idiot bricks doesnt make farming as a career a joy. Jcb telescoping skid steer.

273 is from the late 60s or early 70s. You forgot about the 311 you had with the motor. Other than the stuffer system and sheet metal on that baler it is pretty much identical mechanically to the 311 i got. My dad bought it new in 1984 with thrower for $13k back then.
