It’s a good idea / empathy exercise for _everyone_ to be a *MINORITY* at some point. Really opens up the mind to different perspectives, where you didn’t know that you didn’t know something.

We are a big bibliophile family and have always had a healthy monthly book budget. Most publishers knowing they are a business, want to sell books, And who buys books? Those who see value in owning books and also value education. The majority being middle class or above.

Some things are just meant to be taught at home first. It starts at home,train a child up right in the way they should go.

Educating children early on the need for diversity is a great start. As an adult, I still like to ask all races about their cultures and learn what it's like to be a POC in the United States.

I mean that we don't see white and Asian communities in African countries. No diversity whatsoever in Africa. The same in Asia.

Africa is not a COUNTRY. South Africa, Madagascar, Cape Verde Kenya are diverse countries with all kinds of multi ethnic fusion food and language and blended people. In Kenya and Tanzania they speak Swahili which is a language literally made up of Bantu, Hindi Arabic and Mandarin. Literally Singapore which is in ASIA celebrates their mixed diversity of Arabic, Hindi, Chinese and Singaporean elements. You are an IDIOT with NO PASSPORT🙄

well Diversity books were not always promoted like I didn’t grow up Asian American characters in books. In fact we were told that Americans were all white people. Diversity books proofs that wrong
