Yes, thank you Jesus for creating your mother, to obey your Father to give birth to His Son in flesh eventhough He could have created any woman to fulfill that need. Mary was not as special as the cathols make her.

She was chosen by God to bring Jesus into this world. 1. God chose Mary 2. Mary obeyed God 3. Jesus was born for us 4. Jesus' Resurrection If we believe Jesus is our Savior, Mary is mother of our Savior. If Jesus is only begotten son of God, Mary is the Spouse of God. So, Mary is mother of King of kings. Mary is mother of our Redeemer. God, Mary, Jesus Christ are three directly related. She is therefore our First Savior when she said, "Yes." to become mother of Emmanuel. Many are happy that Jesus paid their sins on the Cross, but disregard how Jesus came for mankind. Jesus was in Mary's womb for 9 months. He drank milk from Mary as a baby. We all should recognize Mary's position clearly. Loving Mary or asking Her to pray for us is not something Christians to mock about it. They hate us because we love mother of our Savior! For me it's much better to pray in front of holy images or statues instead of looking at shopping mall or walls or trees.

16 years of Catholic school, and 40 years of going to mass (I was even in the choir) and I still don’t understand Catholic’s devotion to Mary. There are congregations and people who seemingly pray more to Mary than to Jesus/God, and have more pictures of Mary than Jesus. Intellectually I kinda understand, but I still don’t get it.

She by the grace of Christ is the instrument that stopped the spread of communism by her apparitions and miracles to nearly 70,000 people at Fatima, Portugal, in which even the Communist newspapers reported the facts as they occurred in awe. Mary is the chosen instrument that gave Saint Dominic in the 900s the Rosary to convert the Albignesians, which is a contemplative prayer for the purpose of meditating on the mysteries of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Mary according to "tradition" was the first to establish the stations of the cross at the home of the Apostle John in Ephesus who was told by Christ to take her into his home as his mother (Jn 19:27). She bears, ministers and stewards the mysteries of her son, just as we all are called to do as saint Paul says at 1 Cor. 4:1 ("regard us: as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God"). Devotion to Mary is a form of putting on spiritual armor to model the first true bearer of Christ, the first Christian, to be likewise a witness to Christ for all as she was. As Saint Paul states "we wanted to present ourselves as a model for you so that you might imitate us" (2 Thes 3:9, and also 2 Thes 3:7; Heb. 13:7; and 3 John 1:11). By taking upon ourselves the life of Mary and the saints as our example we come to Jesus and bring Jesus to one another as one body, the Church. No one has to have a devotion to Mary and all of us must be wary of idols (1 John 5:21), but part of our call to live Christ and pray unceasingly (1 Thes 5:17) is "With all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit. To that end, be watchful with all perseverance and supplication for all the holy ones", now on earth and afterwards in Heaven as we see them at Rev. 5:8-14; 6:9-11; 8:2-5. No matter the way we should walk, it must be a walk of faith in Christ (2 Cor 5:7). If you are interested in Mariology I would recommend the book: The Secret of the Rosary by St. Louis De Montfort, and the documentaries (on amazon) "Guadalupe A Living Image", and "Fatima A Message of Hope". Mary really can and does reveal the mysteries of her son through his grace today in contemplative prayer with her as we are united in the spirit to all the saints of heaven. "And Mary KEPT all these things, reflecting on them in her heart." Luke 2:19. She is the Queen at the right hand of Jesus (Psalm 45:9(10)), all glorious within Ps 45:13(14), and her companions follow her to the throne of Christ (Psalm 45:14(15), and whom the Lord says will make her name renowned through all generations, so that nations will praise her forever (Ps 45:17(18). And so it is her who exclaimed "behold from henceforth all generations shall called me blessed" (Luke 1:48), to the glory of her son, the incarnate word of God. Amen.

Forgive me, I forgot that the 2nd commandment in Exodus has been excluded from the Catholic 10 commandments and that the 9th commandment has been split into two commandments to not covet. It does just add another question. Why is the 2nd commandment from exodus 20 excluded in the Catholic Church?

If it meant what you think it meantms, we wouldn't have the New Testament. 3. How do you explain thebfact that Protestants ripped out 7 books from the bible because they didn't like what they taught?.

Why do catholics have shrines and altars for Mary? Why sing hymns and kiss and bow to her image? Why ask her for protection and blessings? Why is there a crowning day for her? Do all catholics consencrate themselves to her? Is it taught in all catholic churches that she went to heaven after 3 days? It's believed she never sinned and was a perpetual virgin, contrary to the bible. She's now reigning as the Queen of heaven, Mother of Jesus, therefore equal to God the Father?

You have that extremely wrong. Even as a catholic, Mary does not bring you salvation. Only Jesus can do that.

@HillbillyBlack Yeah, I'm not catholic but I think some catholics are confused. I was told catholics do not worship Mary, she is venerated. But some catholics take it way too far.

"To pray to" doesn't necessarily mean "to worship" but "to ask." Haven't you ever asked anyone to help you? We ask Mary to help her lead us to her son. To bow doesn’t necessarily mean worship either. Was gping to say the same exact thing! .....i have attended pentecostal, non denomination churches for like 25 yrs...they always asking for prayers, having prayer nights, going to the pastors/elders for prayers.....are those people higher than Mary, the mother of Jesus!? NOPE! ....us catholics we dont pray to mary, we ask mary to pray for us just like we ask other people in our lives for prayers

Mediator, He is our mediator to God the Father. Mary and the other saints are our Intercessor to Jesus. They help us in living our Christian life and our preparation for the next life.
