In this informational video I explain why greyhounds need to wear coats and show you a few of Fairy’s different coats in more detail. Includes cooling coat, pyjamas, rain coat, warm coat and high vis tabard.

Isn't she great the way she let's you dress and undress her. She's certainly living a 5 star life and clearly loving it. Fairy is so fortunate to be in your care but then she seems to have such a gentle temperament. Love your videos. I'm ex of Essex and now live north of Barcelona with our 15 rescue dogs and 14 cats.

Bless her she is sooo patient. She knows she is going out yet no barking or jumping around or you chasing her to put her clothes on her. Thanks for the intresting info, I do not have a greyhound (dogless 4 now 😒) but I often wondered why greyhounds & whippets have coats, now I know thanks to you 😊

I’m certain I have spent more on out fits for my darling greyhound than I ever did on myself, why? Because she is totally worth it. Fairy is a stunning girl♥️♥️♥️

My grey didn't like coats at all. She would wear it but she'd sort of slink around in a sulky way, wouldn't run or play. Take it off & she was happy girl. Luckily it's not too cold where I live, & she would just stay in & sleep if it was too chilly for her. Same with heat, she just went to sleep. Nice to see that Fairy has her own Barbie wardrobe!

Waterproof ones are from ‘pointy faces’ online, reflective from ‘Proviz’ on Amazon and cooling coat from ‘GS equestrian’ online 🐾

Fairy is beautiful and very lucky to have her new family! I know she enjoys her new life - particularly at the beach! One quick question - she seems very subdued and unenthused about most things and places. Is that typical for the greyhound breed or a Fairy-specific personality trait?

Greyhounds are naturally calm and quiet most of the time. She’s not unhappy that’s just how they come across. At certain times of the day they get excited and playful and come to life doing zoomies but the rest of the time they sleep. Fairy gets very excited on the beach, if she sees squirrels or rabbits out on walks and if you get her squeaky toys out. Other than that she will have a bored expression on her face 🤣

@@Fairythegreyhound At the greyhound track they chase a fake rabbit - so that makes sense! I am not a big fan of greyhound racing and believe it to be borderline barbaric. I expect that in the next 2 or 3 decades it will be outlawed in most civilised countries.

Hello, I started to watch Fairy's videos as we are going to welcome a Greyhound soon. thanks for the great content you share. I have a couple of questions I would like to ask you if possible. I like very much the coats, pyjamas that Fairy has : can you share some of your providers? I live in France and Greyhounds seem not to be as common as in the UK. It is quite hard to find suitable items

Hello good luck with your new greyhound. I like ‘pointy faces’ and ‘ak creations’ they are both online if you google them. Pointy faces are made to measure so fit perfectly

They also have thin skin,so they have a propensity to tear,i know i had a grey hound who tore her leg on barbedwire

Thank you so much. We are considering having a greyhound and I started looking into it before we go and get a puppy this fall ( I have small children otherwise I would have considered having a rescue) A friend of ours is a dog trainer and she is very fond of greyhounds. She mentioned a play jacket because their skin damages easily, what is your experience with this. (questionmark is broken) Another question I have ; do you have to buy a lot of coats when they grow. Like.. are all these you have available in puppy size etc. Are there other things we need to think about before getting a pup. ( we are experienced dog owners, just never owned a greyhound)

I’ve never had a puppy so I couldn’t say about coats for puppies. Greyhounds are very good with children my daughter is young and Fairy works in a school as a therapy dog for 4-7 year olds so no reason you couldn’t get a retired greyhound. Fairy doesn’t wear a coat for play. She has never got cut although the skin is very delicate. It’s just a case of keeping her warm when it’s cold weather and cool when it’s hot weather
