I used to do improv dance performances and one time. I shared a wacky idea with my husband, and he had the exact same negative reaction. Now that we’ve been married for several I know this is always his reaction and I’m finally learning to keep my wacky ideas to my self,or call him out on his default response.we have to protect our perspective and not let naysayers diminish our enthusiasm to experiment.

Enough of naysayers! I've been indulging them all my life to my own detriment (so much so that I quit professional ballet to become a doctor kkkkkk I don't regret becoming a doctor, I regret being persuaded to leave art to do so). Now i AM a doctor and realize I am absolutely miserable without ballet, and without musical theater, and without opera. im under 18 years old and ive been really wanting to start with ballet but i live in the country and it is almost impossible to find a late beginner class here. so when i was looking after some ballet vlogs because its one of my dreams to be good at it and see how it goes and these people did it, its kind of a motivation but also a "you are not alone" message. Then i found youre channel with your video its never too late and i instantly clicked on it and i was amazed what you went through and how brave you were and how you fought through the rejection. This has motivated me soo much and ive been watching youre vlogs like almost every minute i could. And i really think youre an amazing dancer because you fight through and never give up,youre passionate about it and it all pays off. i love youre dancing it looks stunning and i love that youre beeing so real with us and show us that there are ups and downs in life even when youre the happiest person on the planet.stay such an amazing person and never give up!❤

When you turn keep your shoulders above your hips. You are going backwards with your shoulders that is why you're falling. But it's fixable. Think of your upper body like a square chocholate bar

Hi! I also started ballet late (technically I still haven't started yet I am just doing my own thing at home) and I am about as far away from a professional ballerina as you can get but I understand your struggle with pirouettes, something I recently stumbled upon is I can land my pirouettes better and do more if I move my arms to second and then into first. It was a light bulb moment for me so I hope this helps. Good luck 🍀 and you are so inspiring ❤

Here i was thinking i couldn't start ballet at my young age, but i recently found this account and it encouraged me, and i realized i can start at any age. classes are a bit expensive but i get to start real classes in february! Do you have any tips on how i can get better?

Oh my goodness. "Why do I fear success?" Such a good message. The worry, headaches, and INTENSE OVER THINKING about "which passion am I going to follow so that I'll be really good at it, hopefully it'll be a good income, and hopefully I'll get a lot of credit from the world," are SO real. "Oh, also, I have to start young if I want to succeed in life." Like, whaaaaa??? Who came up with that rule? I really relate to your story. Thank you for being SUCH a true example to us young ones about where our joy really comes from. I still feel afraid of trying something new and spending money on some lesson or other thing I'm not sure I'll like or not, etc., but now that I've watched your video, I am so encouraged and am reminded that I am not alone:) I've even considered trying ballet;) thank you so much.

I started taking Ballet Class in 22 and I have been taking ballet classes off and on for that time. I haven't done it in while maybe I try again this year, but I am still a dancer, but instead of Ballet I am an Argentine Tango dancer been doing that for almost 10 years, that you make me wonder, if I have kept Ballet where I would be now? by the way I am in my middle 30s now
