I love it when the tide has just gone out and the sand is pristine. Whatever anyone thinks of the town, 😊it does have a great beach.

It's a shame that those sculptures were stolen. No respect for culture, no respect for the consequent impact on the public. Crime in Britain seems to be out of control.

When someone is here on holiday they must go up the Tower, go on the Piers etc but because you live local you can go anytime but usually don't. When I moved to London 36 years ago I did the open top bus, Tower Bridge, Boat trip on the Thames etc, but it took me 13 years to go to the main entrance to Buckingham Palace and that was when Princess Diana RIP died. I had London on my doorstep for 35 years and they are still lots of places I should have visited but didn't. First 2 times I came to Blackpool were day trips from London on 5 November weekends, to see the Illuminations, but we didn't see much of them because we had to be back at North Station at 6pm. I think my first time in Blackpool was the year the Big One opened. A work colleague of mine had to rush down from North Station to go on the Big One, I ended up going with him. Back in the good old days of free entry to the Pleasure Beach and only had to pay for the rides. A few years later I started coming to Blackpool with my boyfriend and we did the usual touristy things. The Tower, Ballroom and circus, The Big One, Stanley Park boat ride, the zoo, the 3 Piers. Big wheel on Central Pier. Now I am happy to go to Bispham on a nice day especially when the Lake District mountains are in view. Yes Stephen it is wonderful living by the sea. My first year living here have been fantastic. Not only Blackpool but the beautiful Fylde Coast as well. Once I can see the sea I am happy, but if I get good views of the mountains as well even better. I also love a decent high tide, the bigger the waves the better. Oh the sunsets are fantastic. I also love the starlings end of the Pier shows, Illuminations, Tower and ballroom and Heritage trams xxx

The south pier has an interesting history it was slightly longer when it was 1st built, the 1st pavilion caught fire in 58 & was replaced only for that one to catch fire in 63 which extensively damaged the pier to the point of it having to be altered slightly the 3rd pavilion was removed in the 90s because of lack of ticket sales. I love reading abou the history of these things ❤️ I'm coming over to Blackpool next year after a 2 year absence & I can't wait 👍🎊

the rollercoaster on south pier came from Odessa Ukraine before the war it was brand new i went on this ride when it was brand new, the piers in Blackpool are amazing

The thing is when you live there you won’t go on the piers or the pleasure beach like me I live less than a mile from the gower in south wales where they having stunning beaches but I don’t go tbh you take it for granted when you live at these places good vlog again stephen keep up the good work

Used to go several times a year for a wander (as I don't like rides). Never been since they started charging to enter just to walk around.

It kicked off in the Velvet coaster on Sunday afternoon around 7pm - two blokes fighting upstairs,6 police officers and two vans arrived to cart them off lol - not the ending to the airshow that I had envisaged.

Be brilliant if Macmaster would do the Pleasure Beach with you 😮

I think it ends up as one of those, "well I live here so I can do it when I feel like it things". It's always there and in the summer, it's full of tourists and who need that. I used to live and work in London. All I did was live and work in London. I didn't bother going sightseeing. I lived about two miles away from Ally Pally but I'd been there before I moved to the smoke. I was too busy just living life to bother with museums and such. I'd have had a go at the London Eye but that was built after I moved to the US. Where I live here, it's all civil war battlefields and such and I'm just like, meh. I'm 75 miles away from DC but I can't be arsed to futs about trying to get into DC via public transport as I'd have to drive 40 odd miles. I don't want to drive into DC as the parking is extortionate and I don't want to deal with the traffic trying to get back home. In the smoke, I could go anywhere easy peasey with a LT pass. Over here, sans voiture, t'es foutu!

What time were you filming? As promised yesterday I tried to drive fast over the speed bumps at the end of Watson Road. 35mph. Took grandkids crabbing in Fleetwood then onto the Fleetwood freeport. Lovely day out.

I am sure that a few of the regular BPB, theme park enthusiasts youtubers on here, would welcome you along. There is a difference though. Stephen you cover Blackpool and it's surroundings regularly. I have learnt so much about this place: routes in, best locations for staying, what's going on, history and events etc. Most of us visitors to Blackpool only recognise the Promenade (main front). Never mind how you get lost in your trek back, to where you booked accommodation. I did not even realise that the 'Tide Organ' had gone and you featured that in many of your videos.

The North Pier staff love people filming on it. Colin (from Seaside), Jane (from Visit Fylde Coast) and the chap from Blackpool sights and sounds are on it often, filming. Along with the other piers. Why not pay the ticket fee and ho up the tower, into the pleasure beach, etc. alone Steve? Other vloggers do.
