He does dog behavior analysis videos. He said the dog had been ignoring ronins(Belgian malinois) uncomfortable stressed I don’t want no problems signals. So finally he let ronin stand his ground.

I have a 179 lbs Turkish kangal. He never gets messed with at the dog park because all the other dogs know better. Even the “aggressive” pitbulls that mess with other dogs won’t mess with my pup.

You’re absolutely right, I have two dogs weighing 165lbs and 187lbs. I will never be taking them to a dog park!!!! Owners have to use their heads a little bit

Another thing to note is that when a dog is fighting, particularly with multiple dogs involved, it might accidentally bite you as you try to break up the fight. Further driving home the point of breaking the fight up before it even starts.

You should know your dogs behavior patterns. Always watch the ques your dog is giving off. No matter how calm your dog is being, watch it's interactions.

been asking this question for a long time. no matter how well your dog is trained there is always going to be someone who cant control their dog and it never ends well

I used to take my babies to the dog park but not any more. You're absolutely right about the fights. It's sad though because my dogs love to socialize.

"Break it up before it happens" is the best statement in all of this that most people should focus on. Use differential reinforcement for good attending behavior.

First thing I taught my dog at 9 weeks old was recoil. He's 7 years old now and I just take him to open fields to play fetch. At any point when I say "come here" he runs back. Teach your dogs to come to you, it's so important.

Thank you!!!! Finally, a professional who understands not all freaking dogs get along, no matter what “socialization” they have. Ugh! One of my family members is a “dog trainer “ and she doesn’t understand that my small dog doesn’t like other dogs… he’s a Pomeranian/Australian mix and he has an inferiority complex with other male dogs. If there is an alpha female type of dog, he cowers to them too, and they attack him. Point is, know your dog and stop letting people push their dogs on you.

Things like this happen, an owner should know their dog and act accordingly. I think they both did great. Things like this happen without balls or other games. And it is perfectly normal to say "i think we are leaving" because you want to stop the tension building up.
