Hi brother, I’m not sure that was always true. The apostles were looked at in their own day as stupid, foolish, and impious. The “scum of the earth,” as Paul puts it. I believe the Bible now as to the age of the earth- that alone is enough to mark me as extremely stupid in this age. We believe in the resurrection- that’s also foolish in this age. Can’t be helped, we’ve got to be foolish in someone’s eyes. But as to your main point, there’s a ton of Christian work to alleviate physical pain and suffering in the world, an absolute boatload. @@PizzaDisguise I think you missed what I was talking about. I wasn't drawing any parallels to Biblical times (old or new testament). I was referring to the sorry state of affairs that the US and the West is in in general. There was a day not long ago (1970's) when not knowing the Bible was something you couldn't easily get away with. We had people in all facets of industry and Government. Science and medicine. We were the ones that sent missionaries all around the world. But today it's the world who sends their missionaries to the US, and those who do not know the Lord who are now leading the Country on our behalf. Christians today no longer engage in life. They no longer understand how to lead so that world follows (not vise-versa) and it is for that reason the world is in the sorry state of affairs that it is in. Sad.

My apologies, to answer your question God/YHWH made Jesus. God actually formed Jesus in the womb to be His servant (Isaiah 49:5) And yes unless you believe Jesus is the messiah, the Christ the anointed of God (not God) you will die in your sins.

Well, Jesus said to be baptized (Matthew 28:19) as did Peter (Acts 2:38, 39) but Paul said Jesus didn’t sent him to baptize (1 Corinthians 1:17) Also the criminal on the cross next to Jesus wasn’t baptized but Jesus said he was saved/with him in paradise. (Luke 23:39-43) So if you can you should, but it doesn’t seem to be a deal breaker if you for some reason are unable.

Acts 2:38 proves that you have to be baptized to have your sins forgiven. If you have to be baptized to have your sins forgiven then you have to be baptized to he saved. Paul not being sent to baptize doesn't prove that you don't have to be baptized to be saved. "Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant. For where a will is involved, the death of the one who made it must be established. For a will takes effect only at death, since it is not in force as long as the one who made it is alive" (Hebrews 9:15-17) Hebrews 9:15-17 proves Jesus had to die for the new covenant to begin. The thief on the cross was saved before Jesus died. If Jesus had to die for the new covenant to begin and if the thief on the cross was saved before Jesus died then the thief on the cross was saved before the new covenant began. If the thief on the cross was saved before the new covenant began then he didn't have to be baptized to be saved.

From my understanding of the holy trinity the father son and the holy spirit are God.
