The border between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans is like a line between 2 worlds. It looks as if the two oceans meet at an invisible wall which does not let them flow into each other and mix their waters.

This video showing two different colored bodies of water drifting alongside each other, claiming to be the meeting point of the Atlantic and Pacific, are actually showing light-colored, sediment-rich freshwater from melted glaciers meeting dark, salty ocean water in the Gulf of Alaska (and over time, currents and eddies cause these to mix, too). This original video was shot in 2015, but was later mislabeled as being the meeting point of the Pacific and Atlantic.

This channel is hereby blocked. Peddling pure BS, and promoting it as the work of god in the stupid, ignorant comment section. Oceans do mix, and in fact there is only ONE ocean. The video shown here shows two different bodies of water - one with high amount of sediments and another without, typically at the mouth of rivers flowing into the ocean. The video uploader should be ASHAMED of himself for promoting this as something else. Like I said, PURE BS, and it is gobbled up by ignorant, unquestioning fools, typically religiosos.

Edit: If you used Google translate then don't believe in it since Google translated both of the words نسر and عقاب to be "eagle" because Google or English itself can't translate Arabic words properly so it's just a bad way to translate things.

A similar phenomenon is also found in The Gambia River. Here, the sea water flows straight from the Atlantic Ocean through the binding river up to a point in Kaur/ kuntaur and will not mix with the fresh water finding its source from Futa-Jalong in Guinea. Tourists will be mesmerized with the splashing phenomenon as the salt and the fresh waters splash high into the skies in a spectacular way.

For people wondering the actual reason it’s because the water of both oceans have different densities, salinities and temperature. This occurs at the gulf of Alaska where the Pacific Ocean meets the water from the melting polar ice caps. The water from the pacific is filled with iron and other sediment while the water from the ice caps are much colder and clearer.

The two oceans mix all the time. There’s always a color change when there’s a difference in temperatures water, Content, salinity, etc. but eventually they mix together. That’s why there is many of the same species in both. I seen that same color change between the Goldstream off of the east coast of Florida in the shower with waters. Both of them are in the Atlantic.

Since when does the Gulf of Alaska have ANYTHING to do with the Atlantic Ocean? This is a plume of sediment-rich fresh waters in the Gulf of Alaska, before they mix into the marine environment. You can see the same phenomenon off the mouths of many larger rivers, including the Mississippi, Amazon, and Brahmaputra.

@@juliog7519 .... Uh, did you actually READ what I wrote? I love Alaska - worked there for 10 years, sometimes spending 6-8 weeks sleeping in a tent out in the tundra. The original comment was about the waters of the Atlantic and Pacific not mixing, and Alaska is more than 1300 miles from the nearest Atlantic waters (in Hudson's Bay) and over 2700 miles from the Gulf of Maine. It was as dumb a comment as stating that the sun must be closer than Los Angeles is to New York, because you can see the sun from New York, but you can't see Los Angeles.

It's NOT negative on Alaska - I LOVE Alaska (worked there over 10 years) - but it's like, why can't you take a cab from Brooklyn to East L.A.? And it's because Los Angeles and New York City are like 3000 miles apart. In the Gulf of Alaska two oceans come together but the water does not mix. There are two verse in Surah Ar-Rahman in Holy Quran 55:19 , 55:20 that says that: 55:19 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 55:20 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses.

There is no barrier. Water mixes with water. Get a cup of salt water and a cup of fresh water and pour them both in a bigger cup and both will mix if you take a look under a microscope. The only reason that they don't mix is due to liquid density just like how oil and water don't mix. Science wins this round.

Off the mouth of any large sediment-laden river. The Mississippi, the Amazon, the Brahmaputra, or the Copper River in Alaska (which I think is what's shown in this video).

The two seas referred in the context of that verses:- one is sweet and the other is salty. The barrier could mean a land and/or what caused the two not to transgress, such as an estuary. Look at the tafseer. Quran lies? Nope. Quran is correct. It hints the reader to the science of why for example river and seawater don't overreach the common point, and why fresh and saltwater creatures can only survive in their own habitat.

You are referring to Surah furkaan verse 25:53 which talks about the *"fresh water sea of Galilee"* and the **salt water Dead sea"* with a 64 mile Land barrier between the two. The Jordan river gives sweet water to both,one takes it and distributes it And is alive and flourishing,the other only takes it and does not distribute it,that is why it is dead. This verse does not contain science but teachings of socialogy which explains The *"Glory of Charity"* Remember verse 55:19-20 has science but verse 25:53 has social science. ♥️ from India🇮🇳 Jai Hind🇮🇳

He has let loose the two seas meeting together. Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. Surat Ar-Rahman, Verse 19-20 We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth. Halocline, barrier between 2 seas, barrier between fresh water and sea water or other similar phenomenon : Check quran Sura Al Furqan, chapter 25 verse 53, sura An Naml, chapter 27 verse 61, Sura Ar Rahman, chapter 55 verse 19 & 20 Those are many version of Quran translation. But understanding arabic langguage is the best way to get the true meaning of the Quran verses. Thanks

True! Just like 2 pieces of different metal put side by side. There is a slow diffusion mechanism. We end up finding atoms of one metal inside the other one and vice-versa.

Stop the rotation of the earth and the two will mix. That's the centrifugal effect of the Earth's rotation. It has to do with the different densities of these two liquids. I don't know why scientists haven't figured this out yet.
