When getting dressed in the morning, I have found myself thinking negative thoughts about stuff I use and love. I know that rationally I do have enough clothes. Yet when I get dressed in the morning, my old clothes just don’t make me feel like I hit the right spot.
Is there something wrong with the clothes? No, they fit. They are well taken care of. Most of my clothes are in good condition.
So, why don’t I want to wear them? And why do I want to buy new clothes? I did some research, and in this video I talk about what I found.

Liked and subscribed! I am trying to shop my own closet when I feel the urge to shop. I want to start taking a photo of my daily fits for inspiration and documentation. I love fashion (and have worked in fashion on and off for a long time too) but want to live sustainably for the planet and all who inhabit it.

If you're just trying to quit buying fast fashion from the source, I'd highly recommend checking out some of the thrift stores in your area. I've found a lot of items that were the brief trend that people donated as soon as the trend past, so the items are still in good condition. I like thrift stores for when you want a shopping fix. I think the eclectic mix of stuff is very nice for the new = reward part of the brain

You're so right! Thrifting is fun - I can spend hours looking for unique pieces, not knowing what you will find makes it more exciting too I think.
