I really love Cure Ace design and i don't hate her but i don't care about her because of her random existence. like i'm so disappointed when regina isn't the six ranger cure 😭😭

I definitely agree with wanting the midseason/surprise cures to have a past connection with the Precure. But even in cases where the time was comparatively short before becoming a cure like Ciel, I think the fact that Regina was right there made the fact that Cure Ace was someone completely new even more annoying for some fans. Cure Earth is another that showed up out of no where, but who in Healin Good could’ve became a sixth ranger? Cure Ace just got unlucky with the Regina factor ALONG with the kind of rushed integration.

Ah, the life of a Cure Ace defender is a tough one XD Jokes aside, Ace is one of those late bloomer mid-season Cures that takes time to work her way onto the team. I completely understand the desire most have for Regina to have been the sixth ranger, but plotwise, it makes sense that Aguri was the one to join the team. No spoilers here, but given her past and connection to the overarching story, her personality, powers and role on the team work quite well. Maybe it's just my age, but I never found her annoying or bratty - I found her sympathetic, charming and cute, a girl forced to grow up way too fast and handle all sorts of dangerous pressures, one who needed to warm up to the idea of friends to fully accept her quirks and weaknesses. To each their own on whether or not she's a good Cure, but I stand by Ace and believe her to be a well written character and member of the team by the end of the season.

It’s so weird that Cure Ace transforms from a child to a older teenager who’s nearly 18 years old. But for Cure Custard and Cure Cosmo they should have revealed their parents even for Cure Macaron and Cure Chocolate. As for Cure Parfait, I was surprised she was an actual fairy. Cure Muse fighting crimes as a young child is kind of awkward, barely 10 years old. Good thing she was in the scene for a few episodes and that was it. Cure Ace, Cure Wing, Cure Ma Cherie, and Cure Muse are actually the youngest Precures. I hope they add more 18, 19, and even 20 year old Precures.

In my opinion Cure Ace is overhated tbh

Regina should have became a cure! She is a reformed villain after all! There were villains who literally decided to leave the evil crew behind to become a cure, like Cure Passion, Cure Beat, Cure Scarlet, Cure Amour, Cure Cosmo, and Cure Finale. If she was a pretty cure, she would have been Cure Jack or Cure Joker.

Even if she’s not my favorite Cure, at least her voice actress did a good job.

I love Cure Ace for a lot of reasons, easily my favorite thing about DokiDoki, because she's serious, she's powerful, she's cool in both her forms, and knows how to get everyone's asses into gear (yes I love how bossy she is, because goddamn people in DokiDoki needed someone to light a fire under their ass). Aguri's introduction was botched, like a lot of things in DokiDoki as I see them, and there was an easy fix seeing as her grandma is a regular customer of Mana's diner, so I understand that complaint. I'm not that big on Regina, but I also understand people wanting her to be the mid-season Cure, people want lots of characters to be Cures, and that rugpull soured them on Aguri, fine. But the hate for her bossiness, which is the main reason I hear for people hating her, is far overblown. Especially because most of the time the people she's berating agree with her, and because she forces the same strictness on herself, to the point where she exhausts herself so badly during training she faints. Aguri GETS SHIT DONE, that's her personality, that's how she fights, that's how she goes about her daily life, and I love her for that. You say she's bottom third for you, for me she's at least top third, if not higher. And for the record, DokiDoki is my least favorite season (and I have seen all of them), I can't stand Mana, and I have a LOT of issues with how that story played out. But I did like the three main commanders Bel, Marmo and Ira, they're funny and have great chemistry, and I love Aguri/Cure Ace despite the issues with her introduction. And I will die on that hill defending Aguri from the haters because c'mon guys she's just 10 and she likes sweets what's not to love

Very nice video!✨ As like a super big mid season cure stan I was excited about her initially, but when I realized she was a little girl with a bit of an *unbearable* personality, it became clear that she would remain as not my favorite (she’s actually not my least favorite from this season, but it’s pretty close) She is one of my least favorite cures, but I find her unique aspects to make her a cure that I can’t really find myself hating❤️

I am currently watching Precure Doki Doki and I like all of the characters. I do wish Cure Ace stayed as a little girl when she transformed though.

i do really like cure Ace despite the initial shock that she isn't Regina, and i LOVE Regina. i just think it's funny how we all got dupped, it feels like something that happens once in a lifetime for the franchise and i don't want to trade it for anything else but if i had too, the only thing i can think of it's for Aguri to go Ako's route, not being introduced in civilian form super early cuz that normal, but being introduced in solo "vigilance cure" form that only went after Regina? that way we know there's a new cure that isn't Regina and still don't know her identity yet? and maybe make the team suspect baby queen Ai to be the mysterious cure for funzies and also that can foreshadow the 3 to come from 1 entity (im not really fond of that plotline but it's still integral to Dokidoki' identity so i don't want it to be erased either)

To answer the question on the title, people hate her because she was thrown into the plot with no character development or even past appearances, and because they wanted Regina to be a Cure.

i will forever defend cure ace's design and transformation. i haven't watched dokidoki in full so i can't really speak for her personality but her aesthetics are so good. i will say though that when it comes to precure a lot of time the better midseasons are the ones who got more time to spend with the cures beforehand (setsuna, itsuki, yuri, towa) and ace not getting that really did not help her case

Cure Ace is a nostalgic Cure for me. Her design is lovely, and as a fourteen-year old watching for the first time, Cure Ace’s appearance was one of the coolest things ever to me. My favourite insert song scene, Kokoro wo Komete probably couldn’t have happened if Regina had become a Cure, but I understand Ace coming out of nowhere would feel cheap to some people

She is unlikeable but she has her reasons for her personality. She reminds me a bit of Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. I like her transformation and colour scheme and theme

Actually I never watched Doki Doki. But I can understand why some people got disappointed (even Japanese people disappointed). Regina was the main of all time, she has her arc, her character and she's interesting. So she was favourites and everyone wants her redemption since it's what always done before per one season. But when Ace came everyone was shock because Toei didn't said or even gave foreshadowing that Cure Ace is someone different. Some Japanese children's really cried when Regina became evil since they really liked her and Cure Ace just turn it around. This IS also developed into Doki Doki low ratings with many major problems. So Ace never helped. And even though she has some good and cute moments, damage was done. So this is the reason why hate was toward and I really understand them since later Asumi was introduced suddenly with no foreshadowing (related to problem with pandemic and hacks). Also both of them actually never have any meaningful in plot so they just watsed their place in show.

Regina also tried to get rid of Mana`s friends with manipulation, and that is why i hate Regina (also she`s annoying with that laugh) p.s. also tried to kill them

The Cure Ace backlash is from the same group who absolutely love Regina and never got over her not becoming a Cure.

Cure Ace is such an awesome person! I love how she lectures bullies and other types of people who are wrong, even if she's "butting in" I think that is actually a good thing, when it comes to standing up for morality. Her "bossy" tendencies are used in ways that are good and I think Ace is a sweet and kind person regardless. I really really really love Cure Ace! ❤

Cure ace or regina Cure ace appeared Regina, daughter of main villain, was evolving, shareing, growimg kindness, and loving the world Cure ace is a part of the queen who split into 3 Oh boy i sure do see how cure regina could have been made but no, random child becomes cure ace

In the first 7 seven episodes of her like debut or wtv, she was so annoying! But i grew to love her! But there was definitely better choices for the midseason… cough! regina! they even could of made it where regina and aguri both became cures, like honestly i would of loved that!

I’m planning on making DokiDoki one of my last PreCure seasons to watch, so I can’t really throw my 2 cents in on anything story-wise, but I love her transformation sequence at 5:50. Never underestimate Naotoshi Shida.

A Pretty Cure that I really dislike is Cure Parfait. Too much attention is put on her, it's like the definition of "I'm better than everyone and I'm superior". She's always portraid by the perfect one, when the other girls have one color, she has ALL. She is... exagerated, her character is the great rappresentation of "too much", she's too much everything, worse than a Mary Sue. I lost it when the entire Kira Kira movie was only about her...

Honestly, between her and Milky rose; i hate the fairy more. At least, Ace won't abandon her friends if they are in trouble and she is not rude to them. She is a good person plus her transformation is so cool! I love the fire and her dress is amazing 😍 Milky rose is awful, often impolite for no reason with Nozomi and the others. Also, the first time they saw her as a cure; not only she refuses to join their team but Rose ABANDON them with a giant monster. What a selfish girl!

My opinion about cure ace she Is Pretty

Well, blame it on executive meddling. If it weren’t for All Stars New Stage 2 having Cure Sword in it, the plot would have been different, and Sword would’ve been the mid season cure. Nuff said.

ok I’m never been deep into the precure fandom. Like Ive heard of it and I know that there are a billion of precure series but I only ever watched the American dub of smile precure and doki doki. BUT Glitter Ace was and is always my favorite in Doki Doki. I never knew people dislike her! I always thought she was so cool and iconic. I will say Natalie herself is a little annoying but overall her whole character is pretty cool.

Aguri is without a doubt my least favorite Pretty Cure. Now I will say it is mostly because I love Regina and wanted her as the sixth ranger of Doki Doki. But also because I hate her character archetype. For me the bratty know it all little kid is right next to boy who belittles or makes rude insults to the girl they like, as my least favorite character type. And Aguri is one of the worst offenders of it. She is bossy in her first episode taking Mana's power simply because she won't stand up and fight inspire of losing her friend. A friend mind you who she really cared about and really wanted to see be happy. A friend who risked her life for her and even almost killed herself by falling into Magma to save Mana's life because she loved her. And now this out of nowhere snot nosed brat appears and forces her to not even grieve. It's reprehensible and absolutely the worst moment in the show for me. But I am nothing if I am not fair so I will say while she is my least favorite Cure, she does improve. Not to much at the start given her attitude persists throughout episode on top of episode, but soon she does start to grow. She becomes nicer and kinder and even starts to bound with the girls. Namely in her Birthday Episode as well as a few moments with the others in their character episodes. And then we have her backstory episode with Regina which was the thing that made me slightly thankful Aguri was who she was and gave context in a way that made things work. And even the ending with her and Regina fighting together with Mana to save their father, it was sweet. It doesn't take away how bad of an intro she had but it did make her above the I wish you never existed camp to the your fine camp.

I think that it wouldve been nice to see Regina become a precure, but i dont think she entrely deserved it. And anyway Regina and Cure Ace are both Pincess Ann, but split in half. Regina being the selfish side of her and Ace being the better side. But it couldve been better if Ace had a better start to the show instead of just coming out of nowhere.

Here is the main reason why I hate Cure Ace. I know she was bossy to the other Precure which I respect a little bit and I understand that because warriors needs to get their (excuse my language) crap together and start acting like a true Precure warrior. And I’m glad she helped them level up. But here are the two MAIN REASONS WHY I HATE CURE ACE A LOT. 1.) SHE TRIED TO KILL REGINA. (good thing cure heart stopped her) The second reason is how I fully hate Cure Ace. 2.) She was talking trash about Cure Sword’s singing and made her feel sad. (This is the reason I had to cross the line with her because of the way she shows no sympathy towards Cure Sword’s singing and a job as a Precure. I know it’s her opinion but you just can go so far with other people singing. I do hate for trying to kill Regina, even though Regina is a villain. Hey I’m sorry for the cure ace fans who are offended to this but Regina is Cure heart’s friend and cure ace is attempting to kill her which makes me cross the line with Ace. Thankfully Cure Ace deserved to get her toush beat by king selfish. Cure Ace really didn’t had to go that far on Regina to kill her. I’m sorry, but I can’t change my decision.

As someone who has not watched this season but knows people who do, from what I can gather Cure Ace is very hated for two distinct reasons: 1) That she when was inserted into the show, the lore, the worldbuilding, everything, bent to Cure Ace’s existence. New things were thrown at the team for Cure Ace. Her general explanation for even existing is seen as complete BS. 2) this a lesser reason, but Regina by my online acquaintances’ eyes, seemed to them that she was being set up as the mid season Cure and the final battle type thing only reinforced this. Cure Ace led them to ranking Doki Doki Precure as one of the lowest and worst Precure seasons despite them admitting they loved a lot of Doki Doki up until the introduction of Cure Ace. The show became terrible after that to them since so much of it was focused on bending just about everything to Cure Ace.

I don't like or hate Ace. I just don't care. I do have a few complaints for one foreshadowing. How the heck was I supposed to know that she exists if she had foreshadowing like Regna, then things would've changed she just feels like a plot device and a plot hole at the same time at least give us hints that she existed. the good thing. She teaches the other's really good lessons. The complaints I have with the show. Stupid people keep on complaining about ace. How come their not complaining about the freaking polt holes!? There everywhere! Doki doki and the smile pretty cure are the only ones I've seen so far. The villains don't get me started with them for one ignoring that stupid villains can easily easily! Defeat the pretty cure since they know their identities, they can easily take them out. The pretty cure. It's unbelievable stupid to show their identities IN FRONT OF THE VILLAINS but their stupid anyway so I guess it's a win. Number 5 or 6 (I lost count) the purple pretty cure. It's nice seeing her pop star and I'm ok with that I could've been if she actually singed! It's so freaking lazy that they had a whole different person sing instead of the actual one who is voicing the purple pretty cure why aren't you guys mad why am I the only one that's ticked off!?

I haven't watched Smile precure doki doki, i watched glitter force doki doki and honestly i did not like the characters, i cringed as soon Maya opened her mouth because she just acted like Emily/Miyuki, but worse. And then out of nowhere an anoing baby appeared and honestly it made me quit. Sorry if this is offensive.

If people disliked Ace then they must have absolutely abhorred Earth. Personally - I liked Ace for similar reasons I liked Moonlight. She was OP as f and acted as a teacher for the other cures.

I never liked her because she makes the other Cures irrelevant and they built up Regina but just threw away her buildup.
