Hito is just a character that bails you out no matter how terrible you are. The infinite and now immediate hyper armor chains, along with the variably timed heavy’s and bash just make the hero feel overturned. It’s not that the hero is necessarily over powered, it’s just that you can make so many mistakes and not really get punished. Plus you have to make multiple reads to pull of a successful punish. Infinite hyper amor, and variably timed, feintable bashes just isn’t fun to fight against, especially when you use hero’s that have very minimal tools to work with

I would even argue after her last buff she could be S tier in duels. Def not as good as like tiandi, shaman, shinobi, or afeera but she could be right behind them.

@@psychd5374 Hito is definitely a top tier duelist. I wouldn’t say S because she doesnt have a neutral bash, but imo Hito is the least fun character to fight outside of shinobi and afeera. I’m a pretty casual player in terms of my skill set, but I know a ton about the game itself. I have yet to fight a really good tiandi, he’s probably the rarest hero I see in duels. But from all accounts nobody likes tiandi😂 and I only have 1 rep with him and I don’t know how to play him lol maybe that’s what I’ll do tonight

I KNEW someone would mention this 😂 he plays passive from neutral, and clicks a ton of stuff when I get in my chain. I kinda spelled it out it the video already but it’s hard to elaborate in-depth while recording.

@@WithOneS Ngl I always get a little triggered when I hear you say "he's playing passive" because I probably play similar. And these days, it's better to attack than turtle so I always see it as a cope to blame the player for it (since in my eyes, it's not optimal). But I still enjoy your videos, keep it up man!

@@xReifox I get that a lot, idk what to say other than that’s not the case! People take what I say the wrong way all the time, not a whole lot I can do about it, especially since about half of people DON’T take it the wrong way so I just can’t please everyone. 😅

to answer the question in the title: The reason hito makes people rage is because Hito is mad cheap, Allow me to explain. Hito has hyper armor seemingly on every attack or ALMOST every attack. Hito has infinite heavy chains that are really really fast. Hito has a feat that can one shot you in dominion, as well as a passive that allows basic invulnerability during executions. Hito hits hard, too. Hito has a bash that trips the opponent allowing for a HEAVY attack if landed, and this bash can be charged, and it has tracking when charged. Hito has a dodge attack. Hito's lights are actually rather fast. So yes, Hito is mad cheap and usually only scrubs play hito. Most of the playerbase will agree that Hito is a complete BRAINDEAD hero that is not balanced in any way, shape, or form. All the more reason for anyone to get salty, including myself.

Really only thing I find kinda BS is her having frame, even on frame disadvantage! Everything else I typically enjoy fighting, the variable heavies are reactable and punishable, hyper armor isn’t much to deal with in duels, just don’t attack them kid chain, and the kick is reactable too unless they flicker the orange but then that’s just a normal variable bash read that’s hard to get into because her neutral isn’t great. Just my take though, I understand where you’re coming from regardless but I also don’t play 4s.

The infinite heavy chain has no mix ups so it is just a worse version of aramushas, most of the time she will just lose if throwing heavies in chain. Also, the uninteruptible execute feat can be cancelled by guardbreaking her unless they changed that in the last few months. There are things worth complaining about in her kit, like how fast the hyper armor starts or how late she can feint charge heavies or the sweep being hard to read or its feint timing. Bashes/sweeps that guarentee a heavy for failing to read a mix up are nothing new either like with shaolin, valk, cent, afeera, etc.

"This is some sloppy gameplay" *plays better than I do against shaman (and berserker )70 percent of the time when playing Hito Hhaha.* I find feinting the kick and sweep to be a tad inconsistent when using E or any keyboard binding for the feint input. Binding the heavy cancel to one of the thumb buttons on the mouse made it a lot easier. But I just could not get used to feinting anything else with the input on the mouse. Thank you for the hito Gameplayyyy!(:

I use the top thumb button on the left side of the mouse to feint the kick and sweep. Then I use E on heavy and unbockable. Not sure if it will help you out when playing hito(:

What do you recommend to do when fighting a turtle? like this guy 9:50 or this one 15:30 it's kinda frustrating when i fight them bc i usually play between aggresive and adapting to the opponent but when it comes to fightin torwards a wall its kinda boring and frustrating and usually i don't know really how to abboard those cases.

Every hero now has some kind of a mixup that forces a read from an opponent and deals damage if the reaction is wrong, so called turtle-openers. We've long shifted from historical turtle meta to click-to-win meta. So an excuse "I can't beat him cause he just turtles everything" doesnt really work anymore

Hitos skill ceiling is pressing the feint button. Her being no skill combined with her last buff where they took away basically her only weakness. At this point shes safer than Shugo with better mixups, just not a fun character to fight.

⁠@@WithOneSI’d say she’s just as safe, fighting a brain dead hito is 10x more annoying than fighting a half competent shugo and god help you if you find a half competent hito, she isn’t fun to fight and has so much hyper armour that very few heroes have the tools to punish, yea sure shugo has hyper armour and the headbutt but hito is just levels above that in my opinion. I would rather have a dominion match against 4 shugo’s instead of a single hito.

@@bengieDMZ parry the heavy = punish, they’re reactable, just practice! Kick/sweep is punishable with GB… what is ‘safe’ here? Shugo can dodge forward headbutt safely and do chain bash safely, that’s why shugo is insane right now. Hito doesn’t have anything remotely close.

@@WithOneS saying “just parry” doesn’t apply when a character has variable timed heavies that lead into her infinite combo man, the level 2 charge is almost unreadable and unreachable at times and even when it is there’s the option for the level 3 or a feint to gb. What I’m trying to say and what I’m sure you already understand is that with how many 50/50s are built into her kit you have to see 20 seconds into the future while doing mental gymnastics to calculate the 50 million different moves she can spring on you to even land a hit if that hitokiri is good, its just crazy. And even the brain dead hitokiri players crush other heroes because of how forgiving her move set is.

I would love to play what I think are the ‘worst’, especially since they tend to be my favorite. But then I always get the “I’m a grandmaster, you’re trash, HL takes no skill” guys. Clearly not true but there’s always at least 5 people calling me an idiot, and that I’m wrong even though I play at the highest level in the game. Dueling is all I know unfortunately, only other advice I can give, is if you’re REALLY new, stick to one character and master them, if you’re not new, but just want to get better, play every character. I think those 2 things will help people improve the most!

They vary too much to just have steadfast rules, but if you throw out an attack and it is going to land sooner than the enemy's will if they throw out an attack as soon as possible then you have frame advantage.
