recently purchased two Preston 520 extremities, both suffer from play in the bearings and turning levers, several complaints both recently and in the past can be found on social media, it is a pity that Preston saddles customers with this and does nothing, it takes years to build a reputation , but you can also lose that quickly

Been using these since I spotted them on your rod 2 years ago and I’d say they’re awesome. I’m used to using high end reels on my lure gear as well !

Thanks for the video, one question though, i find the reel a bit heavy, does this not effect your fishing catching a lot of fish and reeling in and casting out out the hole day?

Great work horse reels as Lee mentions but if I was to make one improvement it would be a better line guard that stops the line wrapping around the back of the spool.

Bought two for feeder fishing Southfield. Really impressed with them. If they ever get round to making shallower spools to fit them they would then get an 11/10 score! 🐳😂😂😂

Sorry ABU 44'x, 66x, and their siblings are by far the best reels ever for feeder work, old"school " as they say, but they can't be beat

Absolutely Lee Kerry talking tird, to make you part with your hard earned cash! . The Diawa reels, ohh you can't do that as Preston's 's pay your wage, nonetheless, your wrong Mr Kerry, there is far better quality available for a very similar price. Nudge nudge wink wink Diawa. I wonder how long it will be before my post is removed? Please comment asap so other people are aware that there was another post there.

Phil, have you tried any of our reels? I think you will be shocked at their quality. The fact that Lee and other anglers (not associated with Preston) choose to use these reels during world championships proves how reliable they are.

@@UKprestoninnovations I have actually. The Intensity and the centris, neither of which come anywhere close quality wise to the Daiwa range. Now I didn't mention anything about reliability in my initial comment, but comparing the quality of the feel of the gearing, smoothness and robustness of the bail arms, casing and spools, the Preston's reels were inferior to the Daiwa in every way. Everyone to their own, but there is a very obvious quality difference between these, hence why I chose the Daiwa. I do use Preston's tackle, a lot of it, so I don't hold any grudges with it, some of the best out there, but not your reels.

No feedback from Preston's? I genuinely would have appreciated your further comments on this. I am not looking for an argument, nor to embarass anyone or get 'one over' I am just being totally honest and I am keen to know your thoughts with this? My main reason being, are you going to improve your reel quality to compete with the other alternative's within the same price range / budget in the market, but at the same time also keep the pricing acceptable? I think that's a fair enough question that needs to be answered for everyone that is considdering investing in either your brand or the competitors, whoever that maybe. If you wish to take the conversation away from this platform then please let me know as I really don't mind, but am extremely intriguied to the outcome and would appreciate being able to conclude this.
