Why does this mini fridge not work?

Mtn Dew mini fridge. This is a novelty item, dont expect much out of it. It wont last long with regular use. The min fridge will only keep it 20 degrees cooler than your ambient temperature. If you like really cold Dew get a real fridge or ice chest to use. This is a collectable item. thanks for watching!!

I returned mine because it just didn’t get cold enough. Because I was told I need to turn it off every 48 hours.. it always took a full day to cool down so it was always playing catch up.

Yep, definitely just a novelty product. One day I'll get a good one.

They make better ones and if you're handy with PC board you can buy more thermal couplers and find a spot inside the mount it, also put a switch in to change polarity on those thermal couplers and you can also make it get hot or cold. but they probably cheaped out and only put one of those thermal couplers in there which is not enough to really do much but if you had a couple of them it would probably kick ass, I bet the version that gets hot and cold I bet you that one works a lot better for cooling it says it gets up to 140 degrees on the hot side that's quite hot enough and it also says that they'll drop down to 20 degrees of the ambient temperature of the room but like I said if you add more thermal couplers to it you can get a lot colder than that you could make it Frosty.🤔 I just acquired one for free I'm thinking about doing some work on it make it better.

That sounds like a good idea, I might try that. If I remember correctly it was only one small part. It was probably a 1 inch by 1 inch. Thanks for the advice and for watching!

How is it the same thing happened to me.. I just do not know how to open it. I have two screws inside of fridge and i have 4 holes in back which are to deep to see if there is screws. ?

If I remember correctly there were some in the back and several holding on the circuit boards.

Hello there. Had the same issue however, I was not sure when it happened that it did not work or made that “sound”. I just had a question though. Is there a way to get this thing to work since it doesn’t not even connect to power anymore? And if so, what component do I need to get?

I had a friend of mine help me take out one of the circuit board and I soldered some new wires on and made a cord. I then got a power supply and I can hook it to that. It's really not worth it. The powe supply is more money than the fridge. I would just keep it as part of a collection.

Yeah i got dr pepper and did the same thing, but i actually found it warn when went to get a drink and i moved it to see if it may of unplugged and as move it. I was the spark....Damn. Well i am not sure how to open it. I was two screws inside leveled with the tray. Do open that way or back in which i only have four deep holes and even with flashlight i can not see the screws. ?
