Only injuries held him back at Rennes. If he stays healthy, he could become one of the world's best wingers. I might be a bit biased since I am a Belgian. However, other Belgian fans compare him already with Eden Hazard at his peak.

I have watched Sterling for 5-6 seasons and Doku looks like he already has a better decision making. Haaland, Alvarez, Foden and Doku will be a devastating attack when they start clicking under Pep.

Remember how cowardly Sterling was for the longest time? Pussyed out of attacking tries time and time again, loosing city alot of momentum, it was so painful to watch! Then we got Sane who showed his and it was so nice to have a ballsy head-on winger who just destroyed defence after defence! I had no hopes of getting such a winger again as they are few and far between and those we know of are established on other big teams, such a nice surprice to get him in young and eager :D his movements, the slight angle change and burst are some of the best i have ever seen i think

I normally reserve judgement on new players coming into the side but I have to say that Doku looks like the most exciting prospect to play on the wing for City since Sanè and Sterling signed for City, I believe he's got the ability to be better than those two were at City and that he will achieve and contribute more to the team than those two ever did He is a quality player and under Pep he will grow and improve becoming a world class player! ⚡🔥Setting pitches alight everywhere he plays!! ⚡🔥 1💙MCFC OK!!💙

Guys, as a Belgian, please enjoy Doku. He has always been a very skilled dribbler, this combined with his speed, and you get an extremely excited player to watch.

Pep told him to shot more in and around the box.. I like his decision making, only player on city squad with 4assist and 1 goal… Jack not doing that.

When we had Martin petrov he gave us some excitement that we hadn't had since we had to sell SWP to Chelsea. Then we got Sane who gave us that feeling of not knowing what hes gonna do when he gets the ball. Now we have Doku and i think Doku is the Sterling pep always wanted.. Doku has fitted it so well, imagine a few year under pep. This guys gonna be so special. What a signing...

@@amorphous7474Sterling is a bit of a weird one. At times he was outstanding, unplayable almost, and then others he looked like he was a fan who’d one a prize to play with the team. His last 2-3 seasons at city were pretty underwhelming, and I think that clouds a lot of people’s judgement on him. However we can’t forget how good he was between 2017-2019.

Grealish has phenomenal decision making plus defensive ability and Doku is line breaker and attacker. Different profiles for different teams. Great team players nonetheless

Bro grealish is not the better ball carrier grealish look like he’s the better ball carrier because he don’t take much risk. Doku takes a lot of risk going forward taking on defenders and doing a little bit of tricks in between.

Great for football that pep uses this guy. With all the pep copycats hopefully we get more dribblers into the game, they’re the most fun players to watch and I’ve always thought you need at least one on your team to unbalance the other team

Lots of investments in youth academies, filtering out nearly every talent available from a very young age. It also helps that we have a rather weak domestic league, giving talented youngsters lots of opportunities to make it into the first team and eventually get picked up by big European clubs, where they can further hone their skills in some the best leagues in the world. I'm optimistic about the future but it's hard to imagine a more exciting squad than the 2018 national team anywhere in the near future.

Doku is only much faster than Eden Hazard. He's an exceptional good dribbler. He prefers to play on the left wing, but he can also play very well on the right wing. He's smart and has a good heart. Advice for Pep become not only his coach but also his friend. Doku will do everything for a friend on the pitch. Even defending, which he does not like. That counts for his teammates as well.

Wasn't a big fan of grealish and still not changed my mind, what he has done could have been done by any other player from mid table teams, mitoma is levels above grealish. Doku this early on and his performance is ahead of grealish and now way on earth can grealish be any where near or technical as silva. I find grealish a waste f9r a team like city he is really and truly a glorified bench warmer, jesus would have done better than him all day everyday

He's a funny person but what he has done is nothing special any player in the prem can fill his position, look at villa have they suffered because of his absence. With pep if you dont do it right sit on the bench, grealish doesnt build that chemistry pep does.

Guys take it in slowly. If pep had not paid £100m for Grealish, he (Grealish) might not be getting playing time. Pep is afraid of criticisms he’ll get after paying that much money to get him if he doesn’t play him (Grealish). So what Pep has done is to get Grealish to help the midfield and defence become steely and difficult to penetrate. Remember the opposition is not there to be batted to submission; they also do attack. Grealish do also contributes to the City attacks. In short Grealish listens and does what the manager asks. Doku might displace Grealish if he can find his team mates with his passes, if the goals continue to come from his contributions. After all, Messi and Sallah don’t track back that much but they are very very effective. Doku can be like these 2 if he scores and finds his teammates with his explosive pace and dribbles.

City have weaknesses with the counter attack and Doku's style of play makes that more more vulnerable. I also think that he has holds the ball to much and causes the other players to stand around. If Pep were to start Jack then bring in Doku at half time I think that would be a good combination.

Out of nowhere is a tad exaggerated. He was in the Belgian selection for both Euro 2020 and the World cup in 2022. If not for his injuries during his period at Rennes, he would've played more games during the WC 2022.

I think you're underestimating Doku's ability. He makes Grealish look plodding in comparison. Jack does work hard though & is great in defence.

he is more then good he is better suited for City then Sterling was. Doku has more control then Sterling and also better dribbling and faster in acceleration. Also Doku has a way better left feet then Sterling. There is one thing I don't understand with Pep. It seems that now in City that only Rodri is his new Messi who always plays when fit. I hope he will give that trust also to Doku because his total output will be higher then what Grealish can archieve. I wonder if Grealish is effer going to play at the midfield because at Villa he was the number 10, At City Guardiola gives that role to Alvarez now KDB is injured but I think Grealish can play there and maybe even better for Grealish because at left wing he is rarely quicker then his opponent and thats why he doesn't even take the risk of taking a 1 on 1.
